This cemetery is BEAUTIFUL!!! I visited for the silly reason that my name is Acacia and you don’t see places named that everyday. I joked with my friends that I want to be buried here when I die. Though let’s be real that this place is well kept, so green, and just beautiful that I would be happily content spending eternity here.
My great grandparents are there on a lovely hill, my grandparents are there under a nice big tree giving them shade a few feet from my grandmother's parents, and in that same area but across the road lies my aunt and uncle (god parents, there son (my cousin), and in a few day's both my parents.Someday I'll be layed to rest within the fine confines of this cemetery.
Stunningly park like setting. No upright monuments, all flat footstones. Wildlife everywhere; wild turkeys, deer, raptors, etc. Started in the late 1920's, Acacia Park Cemetery is located adjacent to the original river pilots landmark, Pilot Knob. 75 acres on the confluence of the Minnesota and Mississippi River, Acacia Park Cemetery is open to all.
