2263 McKnight Rd N, North St Paul“Cool instructors. Friendly peers. The instruction is great, but I'm looking for a more meaningful experience with martial arts. I'm not satisfied [yet?]. I kind of feel like a walking dollar bill; after the session there's no debriefing or words of wisdom essential to being a martial artist.“

1890 Wooddale Dr, Woodbury“Phenomenal gym in every way! The instructors are kind and welcoming, and are very interested and invested in your progress. I've been rolling at this gym for about a month, and I can say that the vibe is great and overall it's an awesome training atmosphere. It can be very nerve-wracking stepping into the gym for the first time, but for anyone who's considering starting BJJ this is the place you want to be.EDIT: Still here two years later, rolling three times per week. Nothing has changed. Instructors still care greatly about your progress, and I've made close friends with many of my training partners. The best BJJ in the east metro, hands down.“

My family has benefited so much - physically, emotionally, relationally- over the years. If you’re here searching for a place to learn MMA, you definitely want to check this place out.“

“I have trained at Midwest Karate (Art of the empty hand) for several years ever since graduating from the University of Minesota under Sinsai Fusaro( in 1973 where he taught). When the dojo opened at Dayton's Bluff, I continued to train under Sinsai Forest,Joe, and Anita. The oraganization has a strong reputation for integrity, flexible class schedules, and reasonable rates. As Master Ginchin Funakoshi stated in the preface to his 1975 book,"Karate-Do, My Way of Life," Karate-do is not merely a sport that teaches self defense blocks, strikes, and kicks but a continued training discipline that promotes strong mind/body to help provide a defense against illness and disease as well. Thanks to his devotion to Karate-do, he never had to take medicne or consult a physician. Shotokan karate's traditional training system of stretching, basics, kata, and kumite (sparring) provides an outstanding opportunity to gain self confidence, strength and balance to feel more comfortable in any self defense situation that may arise. “When ever I need to update my C&C permit, I go to the UNIFIED MARTIAL ARTS ACADEMY, This is the best class I have ever been to.
