“When have you ever used words like “exceptional”, ”extraordinary”, or ”remarkable” for work done on your home? I had to use Google to come up with enough words to describe our roofing project with Craftsmen Home Improvement. There’s definitely a reason for all the 5-star reviews.
Customer service is first and foremost at Craftsmen. Our first contact was with Jim, to talk about the project and what Craftsmen could do. He was never rushed, never annoyed with our unknowledgeable questions and spent all the time needed so we were comfortable.
When we asked for a quote, we got biographies of the main people we would be working with and a detailed quote following the format from the insurance estimator. Plus the Lifetime Labor Warranty.
When we chose Craftsmen, we promptly got an email from them, welcoming us and an attached document “What to Expect with Your Roofing Project” with all kinds of helpful information.
We were concerned about damage to our new driveway. So we only made a comment, but it was out with the dumpster and in with a lighter garbage trailer. Then there was the daily clean-up: nothing was left out at night, it was all put away or taken away. And not only did they blow the leaves away from the house, they cleaned the whole yard and took away my husband’s raking job for the season. Needless to say, after the final clean-up, the yard was more pristine than before the job was started!
Regarding the actual roof, the crew came out to inspect the job and discovered several items that had been left off the insurance estimate – an additional $6,000 find. The crew worked early and late to beat the weather. And the roof looks great.
Staff was always available to answer questions-I don’t remember ever being put on hold.

Ardmor Construction did an excellent job on our house and garage. They had both done in one day, very professional, courteous workers, my gosh aside from amazing professional work, both house and garage are amazing. The workers who put the roof on were extremely courteous and friendly and did an amazing job with our roof. I still go out and look at how nice my roof looks 4 years later.

But what really impressed me is how well they cleaned up. By the time they left before 7pm, the only way we knew they'd been here at all is by the new roof and the dumpster in the driveway waiting to go. They also came back the next day and looked for more clutter they may have missed and had the dumpster removed.

Seriously professional company and we have a 30 year guarantee on our roof, I am impressed with how well it looks now. If you need a new roof, look up Ardmor. They work with your insurance adjusters and with you to get you the best possible outcome. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Our very old roof had hail damage and we chose North Point to take on the project because of North Point's representative, Alex's, patience and clarity. Our long-time insurance covered us well, but negotiating the cost coverage was long and painful. Happily, those negotiations were handled completely by Alex. “First Choice Exteriors was chosen by our townhouse association to replace the hail damaged roofs on 68 units. The skylights on many units were also replaced. Our home had 4 large skylights made by Velux. Mike at First Choice contacted us about our options for the replacement. We made our choice months in advance of the work and the skylights arrived in plenty of time for the installation. The installers took care when installing the new skylights and also removed and replaced the furniture in the porch area. Later, First Choice stained the wood portion of the skylights to match the surrounding wood. With Mike's assistance we purchased custom made light filtering solar blinds by Velux. They were installed professionally with the Velux representative observing the work. We are very pleased with all that was done for us and with Mike's care and concern for our satisfaction. We highly recommend First Choice Exteriors.“

“I got new siding and a new roof by Thompson last July, with final completion of a remaining task the following August. The workmanship was excellent, with detailed attention on the siding and trim. Peter and crew took extra time to make sure the porch (which was sinking since it was built in 1919) had stable footings, and they jacked it up to make it level with the house to complete the siding. It meant the doors and windows were now plum, whereas before they were tilted, hence the remaining task to fill in gaps of siding on the interior porch and at the door (all were unexpected to the original plan). I had some frustration with nailing timelines down and follow up: I had a limited window in which the work needed to happen (6 weeks) because I was otherwise away and I wanted to be there to oversee the work. The roof and siding were completed the morning I was leaving town, which was stressful, but it got done. In the end I would use them again because quality workmanship is more important to me than project management (and more rare), but know that they are less strong at organization and timelines/appointments. I experienced more on the fly follow up, texts and drop by questions (usually on evenings or Saturday) to get remaining insurance estimates, measurements, colors, payment etc. He seemed totally swamped, but I think this is just the way Peter rolls.“

“So here's the deal. We had some minor construction questions and discrepancies, but what I really liked about All Craftsmen is that they listened through the entire process. From the initial visit, Carl was the only contractor that actually consulted on the project (Complete siding and roof) and would suggest cost efficient improvements to our ideas as well as work with us on design as we went through a significant amount of changes.

Once the project began, Jason took over project management, and did an excellent job. We did have a handful of issues throughout the project, but he took care of all of our concerns and we definitely cannot argue with the end result.

I would definitely recommend All Craftsmen as they consistently proved they are a partner, not just an order taker.“

“Nate Plagge came to give us a estimate to repair a 1.5 year old roof. Unfortunately the General Contractor who we hired to do the roof completed the work so poorly the roof will be a complete tear off and reroof. We recently had water intrusion as well from the bad roofing job from the General Contractor.

Nate and Zach were able to identify where the leak was coming from and seal the leak until we have them install the new roof.

I highly recommend Nate and Zach as they are very knowledgeable and professional individuals.
