The estimate we got was very thorough, and the cost came in very close to the original, given that we were expecting that the roof would need re-decking. Jim came up with a great suggestion for solving our chimney problem that saved us several thousand dollars. As for the actual work - great crew, arrived when they said they would, finished when they said they would, cleaned up very nicely and actually left our garage floor cleaner than when they started (thanks, guys!) They were also great at answering any questions we had. We would work with them again anytime (though our new roof is likely to outlast us!)“

Our very old roof had hail damage and we chose North Point to take on the project because of North Point's representative, Alex's, patience and clarity. Our long-time insurance covered us well, but negotiating the cost coverage was long and painful. Happily, those negotiations were handled completely by Alex. The roof was put on in a day and the clean-up was thorough. Our questions, which were plentiful, were always answered completely, patiently and kindly. Communication throughout the project was always clear and we didn't have to hover over the company to get information - it was offered proactively. “A number of our windows were in really bad shape and we were given Andrew's information. We contacted him and he gave us a quote last summer. Other things came up and we had some other expenses. This winter our windows were in even worse condition so I reached back out and to my surprise was told that they would honor the estimate from the summer. The windows were ready in about 8 weeks. We got sunrise windows and they are awesome. The crew was fast clean and quiet. We work from home and could barely tell they were here. We previously replaced windows in another house with pella and it was insanely expensive, the sunrise windows were much more affordable AND in my opinion the window are better. Would 1000% recommend!“

“We have had the unfortunate need to replace roofs on two houses over the past ~15 years. Fortunately, Snap has been there for us. Not only does the finished roof look amazing but they were able to complete gutters/covers and even help with a flat rubber roof. Where Snap really shines though, is helping with initial evaluation. “First Choice Exteriors was chosen by our townhouse association to replace the hail damaged roofs on 68 units. The skylights on many units were also replaced. Our home had 4 large skylights made by Velux. Mike at First Choice contacted us about our options for the replacement. We made our choice months in advance of the work and the skylights arrived in plenty of time for the installation. The installers took care when installing the new skylights and also removed and replaced the furniture in the porch area. Later, First Choice stained the wood portion of the skylights to match the surrounding wood. With Mike's assistance we purchased custom made light filtering solar blinds by Velux. They were installed professionally with the Velux representative observing the work. We are very pleased with all that was done for us and with Mike's care and concern for our satisfaction. We highly recommend First Choice Exteriors.“

“Overall, a really good roofing job from Thompson Exteriors. The new shingles look nice and professional, and the extra work to reinforce my old house’s sagging eve issue was worth it. Once the work got started, they were consistent and professional every day that they showed up. Job didn’t take relatively long and workers were there consistently every day until to the work was finished. One constructive piece of feedback: They need project managers. At times it was hard to nail down the exact start date, and felt like it was pushed several times. This may have been due to too many jobs on the plate of my point-of-contact, or just simply the lack of a project manager.“

“Lance's knowledge initially won the bid to replace and extend our deck. However, the attention to detail was absent.

During the bidding process it was discussed the deck extension was intended for the grill, and we needed five feet. After the install, the grill did not fit. Lance admitted he should have calculated differently, considering the addition of the bar rail on the railing. Adding another six inches would have met our request.

After completion, I noticed the screw covers were not applied consistently. Lance explained that the drink rail restricted placement and that the installation crew should have used black screws, not gold ones. Unfortunately, replacing the screws now would compromise the deck's integrity. The installer resolved the issue two weeks later.“

“Seven years ago I replaced fourteen 80 year old sash windows in my home with A-Craft double pane. Their windows are an exceptional product. Due to new exterior trim clad on my home I planned to keep my old zinc seals on the sills. A-Craft customized my new sashes to accommodate the zinc seal. They also made custom stop sticks I attached (Velcro) to my new jams for security when the sashes are open. The sashes function perfectly, no drafts, rattles or struggle to open. They are easily removed from the inside for cleaning. I replaced all my sash windows and storms (Allied Aluminum, Mpls) for much less than new frame and sash cost (I did it myself....easily).“
