“Great tanning beds, I never knew certain beds would make my tan look so much better. The only issue I had was the sign up fees that weren’t mentioned to me before I picked my package but, after they swiped my card. But I double checked on the website and they are listed on there.“

“I did the buy 5 tans get the 6 one free. They’re great at getting you set up and explaining the tanning bed you personally will need for how you tan. Every time I went in, they had an open bed. The vibe is amazing. The girls are super nice.“

“Wow! My first impression was unforgettable. Echo greeted me so kindly and gave me an in depth tour of the salon and was so knowledgeable about all the beds and lotions. “I just started coming here with my sister, as with her tanning package, she can give her friends a free week of tanning. This is a really fun way to get new customers in the door. They honor it without pushing you to buy their packages. They have a huge variety of different beds whose bulbs do different things. For example, the I bed focused on your face, and tans you I think she said 2nd faster than the regular silver bullet bed. But the diamond and platinum beds tan you up to 10x faster than the regular bed. They have a nice variety of stickers, their rooms are very clean, their fans work great, and they even offer winter green mints which is my favorite. Both receptionists were very friendly and helpful even with how busy they are. They also offer infrared beds, massaging, and spray tans along with stand up beds. For a pretty decent price, as well. I think I found my home tanning salon.“

“I got a spray tan done by Alex, and she did an amazing job!! She is very professional and made me feel very comfortable. She asked me a lot of questions, on my skin type and how I wanted my tan to look. She helped me achieve my desired color without any orange look to it! “$5 tan is by far the best tanning salon out there. I used to work at the Mounds View location, but moved away and have been tanning at LA tan since I am out of state now. The difference is crazy. Even though LA tan is such a well known chain, their customer service, bed quality, room cleaning, and product availability is not as good as any of the $5 tan locations I’ve been to. $5 tan invests in its employees by routinely checking in to make sure that we are happy in our position and by doing routine (fun!) training sessions where they educated us on sales, how to run the salon, and care for customers so they have the most amazing experience with us possible. Also, objectively the most important thing you can’t beat about $5 tan is that they never let the bulbs on their beds get below 50% strength, and the second a single bulb in a bed goes out, they have it replaced. At my LA tan location, at least one of the beds is so weak it barely gets hot and does not tan you at all, and the other bed has 5 to 6 bulbs out. It’s borderline unacceptable. Anyway, point is go to $5 tan if you want to have a great tanning experience with staff that treat you as a valued individual, great deals, amazing product availability and discounts!“

“Stopped in on Sunday to treat myself to a little red light therapy and some dark summer color. Jodi was working and is quite knowledgeable about all of the tanning equipment and lotions they offer. I was very impressed and purchased a special package which I can add onto in the future. The place is clean and I like that I could try the red light before my level five tan and wrap in a towel or robe to move from room to room.
