“We just held a Memorial Cremation service for my father yesterday and our experience was great. I was a little disappointed in the decor at first because it is very outdated, BUT that aside, I would HIGHLY recommend this venue. The staff were very professional, helpful, and kept great communication throughout the process. They only host one family at a time which is perfect for families who have a lot of young children. We didn't have to worry about the little ones acting up because it was just our family in the building. There is an area behind the service room where kids can hang out and not be a disruption to the actual service. Last time we used a different place and I was on edge because there were two other families there as well and my toddler was, well, being a toddler. Faulmann and Walsh also had a sitting area for the viewing where we were able to bring in snacks and drinks, as well as use their fridge and mini-fridge. They are very, very affordable and personal. They are also willing to write the obituary and they give you an information sheet to help gather personal information about the deceased loved one. This family owned business is very great and very professional.“

“My wife's family has used this place for many years and unfortunately I have been here more times than I would like due to the circumstances. The people that own and operate the facility are flat out amazing. Recently when my father passed and obviously I suggested them to my mother. In normal fashion they were completely stellar in the handling of my father, and helping my mother and I through the process. The facility is nice and well kept but if I could add an extra star just based on how caring, hospitable and courteous they are I would. Losing a loved one is hard, it's easy to find a small fault and make any little detail a extreme disservice but they did a fantastic job for us from setting up the service and planning. They did a great job on preparing my father. He looked great and did everything we needed. Highly HIGHLY recommended. “Had the most amazing experience at Woodlawn Cemetery. I traveled up to Detroit for a music trip including visiting the legendary Motown Museum and wanted to visit Woodlawn to pay my respects to some of my favorite singers including David Ruffin and Levi Stubbs. Jukaila, one of the cemetery’ representatives, not only assisted me in finding the graves, but gave me a personal tour and drove me to every grave I wanted to see. I have been to many cemeteries to pay my respects to famous individuals but never have had such a remarkable experience as I did here. If you want to pay your respects to entertainers or individuals you admire, the staff will help you!!“

All of her immediate family had predeceased her. With my brother, cousin and a few friends we were given such a lovely, respectful brief viewing. Following, was a nice service at the cemetary which I did not expect to have happen. My friend would have been very happy to see such concern and care given to her as she was laid to rest.
