Very lovely wooded setting with a pond, interesting old tombstones, I go just to walk & admire everything. There's been a great blue heron nesting there for a few years that's fascinating to see

This cemetery is getting a bit run down, grave sites are hard to locate due to lack of maintenance. The grave sites that aren't allowed to have headstones just markers are buried in the grass and dirt and are unrecognizable. In some areas they are actually sinking into the ground.I was very disappointed upon my visit.

Absolutely love this cemetery. The wildlife that roam these grounds is such an amazing sight to see, the trees and landscape are just absolutely precious and beautiful. It is so beautiful here.♡

Founded in 1911, Oakview Cemetery features a captivating landscape in a park-like setting on 94 acres. Oakview Cemetery has several gardens of beautiful trees, flowers, ponds, wildlife and walking areas connected by miles of winding roads. The cemetery is in the heart of Royal Oak, on Main Street, just south of 12 Mile Road, on the east side of Rochester Road. Located within its borders is a uniquely-crafted memorial chapel mausoleum that was designed for those to pray, celebrate and mourn loved ones. Our chapel mausoleum and beautifully manicured grounds offer a quiet and calm setting to remember dearly departed loved ones who are interred within cemetery borders.
