As a last ditch effort I called Synergy. They were able to see my dog the next day! Dr Fung was very honest about my dogs severity but treated us with compassion and care every step of the way. “Uptown Veterinary Clinic staff was absolutely amazing when we had to say goodbye to our 15 year old lab, Talula. They explained everything and let our sweet girl stay on her bed in the back of our car so she could be outside in the sunshine. They gave us time for lots of hugs and tears, making such a painful experience as comfortable as possible. The staff was incredible! They also made sure Faithful Companion was there within minutes of us leaving to take her for cremation. We received a call the following morning saying she was back and ready to be taken home! Uptown Vet staff even washed her blanket and had it ready when we returned. I highly recommend Uptown Veterinary Clinic. We miss our "Lula" so much but the compassion and care they showed to us and Talula will never be forgotten.“

“The one and only place for Cats. The Doctors, techs, and receptionist are great! I am so happy to have a cat only clinic in my area. They know more about cats and understand the cat/human relationship! Also, I never have to worry about running into dogs in reception. I’m grateful from the bottom of my heart to the whole staff for their steadfast determination, compassion, and wisdom through my dog’s health issues and later battle with cancer. You’ve never seen a dog more loved and well-cared-for at a doctor than him, and he would practically bust the door down to see some or his favorite people every time.

My puppy now benefits from the kindness of the team as well. From social visits to help him warm up to new situations to taking several minutes to patiently encourage him to use the scale, they’ve helped him grow so confident in such a short amount of time that he now loves to see his friends at the vet—just like his brother before him.

The online portal they use makes communication and appointments easy to use. One of my dogs has Cushings disease and needs med refills every month. Our dog suddenly started suffering seizures. We didn't know what to do, so we tried to find a pet hospital with availability. Fortunately, Ann Arbor Animal Hospital was able to see him on short notice. During the visit, they explained the different options available and we decided to try medication. Unfortunately, our dog took a turn for the worse that same day, and we had to quickly return to the hospital - they were flexible and took us right in. They were very compassionate as we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved little pup. This was so hard for us. But we're grateful that this hospital was there to provide support in our moment of need.“

“We’ve brought our dogs and kitten here over the years but our recent kitten experience inspired me to write a review. A week after finding a stray kitten, he ceased all eating and drinking. We took him to our usual vet and then brought him home for medication and syringe feeding. Despite our efforts, he continued to decline and our primary vet said it was time for hospitalization and IVs.

Our kitten was at death’s door when we brought him in. Our vet called ahead of time and the team here was ready to take him. Within an hour, intake and history was complete and they had him ready for care. They were very transparent about cost and sympathetic both to the unexpected emotional and financial toll—which I was appreciative of.

We received a call the next morning at 7 AM by the vet who seemed genuinely happy that our little guy had made a complete 180 and was doing much better. They advised us to leave him there the rest of the day but also gave the option to take him home. We decided to play it safe and received an additional call at 5 PM with updates and that he was ready for discharge. We now have a healthy, happy, playful kitten that you would never guess just 24 hours ago he was close to dying.

I’m very grateful for the team here and everything they have done over the years for our pets. I’ve witnessed some very heart wrenching cases in their waiting room. It’s important to remember this isn’t your usual clinic and the staff is often incredibly busy and facing some of the worst case scenarios we can have for our pets. We have to give them grace and despite the times where it felt staff was having a hard day, I still had the impression they genuinely cared about my pet’s well-being.“
