“In November of '23, we decided it was time for our 20 year old carpet to go. 20 years of life took its toll. We had no idea where to start. We called a couple places, but we weren’t feeling confident with any one place, at that point. We called Smith's Hardwood from a general google listing. They are on the east side of town, and we grew up there, so we called. Joe got back with us, came out to the house, and instantly recognized the potential our floors had, even with the condition they were in at that time. We were pleased with his overall knowledge and real enthusiasm for what could be. We felt that maybe we found someone who could help us. This was a big investment for us.Our baseboards and door casings were in bad shape, and he was willing and able to offer us a full array of options to do a one-time fix of everything. The price was fair for the amount of work needed, and we felt good about bringing them in. All the guys on the crew are fantastic, knowledgable and knew what they were doing. We had no problems with moving out for a week, so they could work; we had full confidence in the crew. The carpenter that completed all the finishing work was great. Good craftsmanship all around. All questions were addressed at the end of the job and we were treated with respect throughout. Joe even went above and beyond to take care of us in resolving some small things that came up at the end of the job.We were ignorant of the hardwood floor restoration process, so we put our trust in them to get it right. We read so many online reviews during our search; some were helpful, most were not. We felt it was good to give back and do a review that we would have appreciated to read a month ago, at the beginning of our search.It’s difficult to get a sense of a company’s honesty and competence from a simple google search, but this company is one of the good ones.“

“Carpet Direct installed new carpet in 3 of our bedrooms. I first met with Aiyman so he could measure the rooms and he also brought samples and helped me pick a great color from the Taupe color family I was interested in. I thought it seemed like a big job for one installer but Mario showed up right on time and did a fabulous job all on his own including the tear out. We got this done right before garbage day so the cut up old carpet can go to the curb. The Taupe color and quality is beautiful and it is so soft to walk on with the thick 8 lb padding they used. I recievedrecommendations from others who had gotten carpet and flooring from here and they were 100% spot on and now I also highly recommend them!“

“Read every review, after my experience here i can confidently say pretty much all the bad reviews are unreasonable. I had a great experience, Greg my salesman was awesome, the other employees were awesome we talked about heavy metal for about 20 minutes. I bought some discontinued flooring on sale, and luckily their auburn hills location isnt far from the Clinton township location, only a 25minute drive which is where my transition pieces were. Glad I had to drive to auburn hills because i patched their entire parking lot in november and got to look at my work!!“
