“If anyone is looking for a martial arts, karate studio, I highly recommend Core Fitness Martial Arts (CFMA). It’s an amazing school, phenomenal instructors, and great lessons for kids and adults to learn well beyond just martial arts. I’m always impressed with the ways in which they incorporate confidence, public speaking, fitness, and fun into lessons.“

Mt Zion Fitness Martial Arts Schools

“OH WOW. This building is filled with kindness and acceptance. They are true Christians. Not judgemental or dismissive if you aren't just like them. Do great works in the community like FREE FITNESS CLASSES (until further notice if you're reading this in the future.) My husband and I started to eat healthy and exercise after an pregnancy loss. We didn't know what that meant for us. We are spiritual, but not "churchy." Boy, did God have something in store for us! We are still new here and finding our way spiritually, but Mt Zion fitness center has been so supportive and kind. The fitness classes are hard work and so enjoyable. I can literally feel the health and wellness increasing in my body daily. It is so much more effective than Planet Fitness' circuit training on machines that I was doing. Big shout out to the instructors JOSH and LAURA. My husband and so look forward to attending the gym each week. Thanks for a continued wonderful experience!“

PKSA Karate Bloomfield Martial Arts Schools

“My son has been coming here for almost a year now and we recently celebrated his 6th birthday here as well! We already knew we loved the classes, and were excited to share one of his favorite activities with his friends. Unsurprisingly, the party was a huge hit! The guests were treated to a karate class that involved them running, jumping, kicking, punching, and even breaking wooden boards! The whole time the Shruga family was there making sure everything ran smoothly. It was probably the easiest birthday party I have ever thrown for one of my kiddos! I cannot recommend this studio enough for either a class or for a birthday party!“

School of Martial Arts Martial Arts Schools

“Sifu brown as a teacher focuses on personal growth and development, not belts. He has used his 40+ years of practice to create an environment that he'd enjoy practicing in. He develops people to be better than themselves and uses tests to break through the will. Growth is often painful... As a person, neurodivergent and complicated, i rarely got the feeling that sifu liked me, more so it felt like he used me as an opportunity to see his own rough edges, a stone making ripples in the water of his pond... That being said, he never kept teaching or participation from me. He let me have the complete experience, and tried throughout to push me to be a better person. My time with sifu was hard... i often let myself down... I literally gave it my 100%... He gave me the opportunity to study with some of the best in the world. Doing dynamic and progressively more intense practice with great partners who celibrate successes. Ultimately i walked in feeling like a victim and i got to learn to be a warrior, a meditation samurai, who was blessed to find a teacher who, although not personally enlightened yet, nor did he ever claim to be... still devotes all of his energy encouraging the path of peace and mindfulness, in all of those around him.“
