“Professional and courteous and knowledgeable Dr. Kapers and Abbie answered all my questions.“
“Very professional and knowledgeable in the field, consistent, pleasant staff and office.“
“This practice has the most friendly staff and doctors. Scheduling is a breeze, I’ve never had a problem being seen the same week or even same day I called. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Roush, he is incredible.“
“Dr. Victoria Johnson was a delight. She is kind, professional and very knowledgeable. She explained what we saw from the scan of my eyes. I did not feel rushed, and she answered all my questions.“
“Excellent experience! This was my first time here, I was greeted promptly upon entry by a very friendly person behind the desk. I was there for a full eye exam (eye health as well as a new lens prescription). The tech I had wasn't unfriendly, but efficient and nice, but no small talk--totally fine, I was happy to rest my voice (some people say I talk too much anyway). After a few different rooms, machines, flashing lights and reading wall charts I waited to see my doctor. Dr. Young was my doctor this past visit and I couldn't have been more pleased with her clear, caring, and thoughtful approach. Thorough, but not at the cost of being careful. I was provided my perscription and (like any good museum), walked out through the "gift shop". I enjoyed the browsing and found a few frames that were to my liking. I didn't purchase anything on this visit--I'm shopping around since I have two good frames at the moment that just need lenses. But the sales person/optometrist was knowledgable and nice. A few dings for me on the retail part of the operation: I was surprised that pupillary distance was measured by putting a dot on the glasses with a lens pen--I feel that there are better ways than this in 2024 but I'm no ophthalmologist or optometrist. I did feel as though they were a little hot on the "selling" portion of the business. I wouldn't say I ever felt pressured, but I won't say that I didn't feel any pressure either. On the positive side, they had a huge selection of frames. Your standard Luxottica brands (Oakley, Ray-Ban, etc.), but also others. And a small selection of Maine-based frame companies! All in all, slight oddities on the retail side aside, I still feel that this is a 5-star establishment (maybe 4.5 stars, 'cuz who's perfect?!). I look forward to going again.“
“Friendly and always very competent. Trust your eyes to MMEC.... only have gone somewhere else once and regretted it.“
“I hadn't been to an optometrist in 5 years but desperately needed new glasses. After doing some research I decided to come here due to it being so close to home and having such good reviews, as well as taking my insurance. The person at the check in desk was lovely, bubbly, and clear about what I needed to do. I only waited maybe ten minutes or so in their little waiting area before being taken back by Dr. Giles. He was very friendly and what I loved most about him was that he explained everything that was being done, why, how, etc. He gave me information, he made sure I was involved and understood. I felt much more in control of my own health than I ever had. Afterwards he handed me my prescription and set me on my way. I'd also never had anyone just GIVE me my prescription much less let me leave without trying to even mention buying frames there. I really was given full control of my healthcare and it was a great experience. It also didn't take very long at all. I left feeling confident, happy, and relieved.“
“Have used for two decades, located in Maine mall. State of the art in health vision, several professionals available. Always friendly, courteous, professional.“
“I bought some frames from Optical Expressions last year, and had the lenses filled near my home in Connecticut. There was not a day that went by that I didn't get complimented on the frames. The people who work there helped me pick a pair of glasses that really fit my face, and have some style to them, too. But that's not why I'm writing this review. I stepped on the glasses a few weeks ago and broke one of the arms. I called the store to see if they had a replacement, and though they didn't, they got in touch with the manufacturer and ordered me a new one. As the company was in Paris it took awhile, but the folks in charge kept me up to date and sure enough, delivered the arm to me this week. The glasses are back on my nose and I'm ready for the next round of compliments. Thank you, OE!“
“9-23-2024 My regular eye doctor examined me and said I had a tear in my right Retina. Which is why I had him check it because of an issue. He set me up that day with Eyecare Medical Group and they called me within the hour. They fit me in the very next day. It was easy place to find with plenty of parking. It has a great waiting area with multiple check in areas depending on which Doctor you see. I saw Dr. Parnes. The wait was probably 30 minutes and it didn't bother me at all. The staff was very friendly and I was checked in and then when called the basic checks and scans were done and Dr. Parnes came in and after examination of my eye was brought by his assistant to the room where they use a laser to "Tack Weld" basically the tear. the procedure lasted less then a minute it seemed. I had my follow up today on 10/22/2024 and everything is fine. I had excellent care and service. They do "Emergency" procedures so sometime there will be a wait. It's totally understandable that you may have a delay from arrival to setting in the Dr. Chair. Unless yourself centered and can't grasp this idea I guess. I highly approve of this practice.“
“From the person who greeted me upon check-in, to the person who ran some pre-exam tests, to my time with Dr. Mike, to the person who helped me look at some new frames, every single person was very very pleasant - the kind of pleasant you feel is not forced. Dr. Mike takes his time explaining things to you, showing you your actual vision tests and explaining what you are looking at. I just loved his upbeat persona in general. I left the office in a great mood.“
“Dr. Tricia is wonderful. The staff are all extremely professional and are great to work with. Highest recommendation.“
“This is a top notch care facility ...Doctors , nurses, staff,... / ....EXCEPT for .. ONE .. thing. Their internet site is USELESS ! Impossible to navigate...can't set up an account like you could at ANY DOCTORS OFFICE in the nation. They have an "invitation" sequence with code okay, ETC, ETC. But the site walks you 1-2 steps and says unavailable ... You don't get shut out for 20 tries it says. BS. I tried everything for 2-3 days , several calls ( no tech support ), switched email addresses.....passwords... put nonsense words in for ID and PW, used their silly codes.... N. . O. . T. . H. . I. . N. . G . Can't see my doctors summary, etc. or other messages claimed sent to me. So, frustrating ! Time to stop letting somebody's son or nephew control this site. Get something up to date“
“Excellent customer service- Hayden and John with both very helpful, kind, and patient with a glasses exchange that took several visits to sort out. Love Dr. C-F!“
“My prior eye care service relocated their Auburn office, So I decided to make a change and tried Advanced Clinical Eyecare of Maine's Auburn office. Staff was pleasant, organized and professional, minimal waiting time and easy new patient processing. Dr. Gandelman was thorough, including examination for diabetic related damage and the presence of cataracts. He offered very direct and easy to understand conclusions. Good people, nice place.“
“Visiting in Maine, bumped my glasses, needed adjustment. These folks were SO nice, fixed me up pronto!“
