“I had a great experience . She was very patient with me I haven’t waxed in a while and I was nervous and scared because I’m pregnant and heard it hurts more when you’re pregnant. I kept grabbing her arm lol but she talked me through it. She was sweet and kind. Her place is nice and cozy and she even gave me a gift bag to go. We had a great conversation and She’s a sweet heart I will be back and honestly the waxing wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I was overthinking the pain lol. “I first came across Define when looking for a new hair stylist for my daughters and I. I moved to MD from out of state last year and had no found a place that could meet our expectations. We had a horrible experience at another place and were nervous about trying somewhere new. However- the minute we walked into the salon for my daughters hair appointment, we were greeted with a new customer bag full of goodies, chocolate and also a buy one get one free product sale since it was our first time.

Our hair stylist is Sierra and she did an ABSOLUTELY amazing job on our daughter. Being Puerto Rican and Mexican - our hair is very course and naturally curly- so I was nervous about whether or not she would know how to deal or manage our hair while blow crying it. (Often times in previous experiences our hair always comes out puffy and frizzy because the hair stylist doesn’t really know how to style our type of hair) however - sierra did an AMAZING job and my daughters hair came out 10/10. Right then and there I booked for myself and I as well came out extremely happy with my cut and layers. I cannot recommend this place enough. We finally found our place. I suffer very bad from anxiety and it had been almost two years since I had step foot in a salon and Sierra and the front desk made me feel so comfortable and at home.

“After reading through Yelp reviews, I scheduled my first waxing appointment ever at Nude Wax Studio, opting for upper lip and eyebrow with Erin. (I grew up getting threaded.) I don't think they do walk-ins. I scheduled online the week before, and there was plenty of availability. I paid a 1/2 total deposit. On the day of my appointment, I walked past the entrance a few times before I realized just the door has the logo but no hanging sign. Erin texted me back to give instructions when I called to say I couldn't find the studio, and when I walked to the upstairs second-floor studio, I was the only customer. The studio was almost entirely baby pink with neon signs and feminine decor all around, with female R&B and pop music playing throughout the visit. Erin worked silently for the most part; she was gentle and attentive, going back with a couple strips when I noticed some missed hairs. The studio felt clean and peaceful. It was a great first waxing experience. When I paid the remainder of the balance, Erin said that they recently started a rewards program, which I signed up for, but my one gripe was that only what I paid on the day of the appointment went towards the rewards program, not the deposit. To seal the pink deal, I made sure to take a couple pink Starbursts on my way out.“

I moved to Baltimore two years ago and needed to find a new stylist. I wanted a salon I could walk to from my apartment, and it’s safe to say I got incredibly lucky when I stumbled upon Dandelion. The salon itself is calming, stylish, and chic, with a special warmth that’s created by Aubrey, Molly (and now Selina).

I always look forward to my appointments because I know I’m in for a treat. From the moment I walk in, I’m greeted with a smile and a “how are ya.” Molly and Aubrey go above and beyond to make sure you’re cared for, whether that’s offering a snack, a drink (alcoholic or nonalcoholic), or a relaxing head massage at the bowl. Their customer service is 10/10.

Beyond the incredible atmosphere, Aubrey’s skill as a hairstylist is top-notch. She’s always open to trying whatever I have in mind and somehow makes it even better than I imagined. I always feel confident and cared for when I’m in her chair. And shoutout to Molly, who is always so friendly, welcoming, and just as talented as her BFF Aubrey. I love the conversations that circulate throughout the salon—I always leave with some kind of knowledge. (Did you know all Skittles taste the same? ?)

“Got a full highlight ,toner, and haircut on short notice. When I called I spoke with Joe she explained to me that she couldn't give me a exact price but she could give me a starting price and that it goes up depending on my length and thickness and if they had to use a toner to get the blonde that i asked for .which was very helpful someplace start at 200 per hour for what i wanted.she was very knowledgeable and she got me in.
