“Yesterday, I had the most exquisite experience getting a facial at Lovely Overload Spa. First the spa was nicely decorated with an array of real plants, very clean and decorated superbly. My facial was done methodically as the aesthetician explained each products use based on my oily skin type, while listening to some soft music in the background and lying comfortably on a message bed. ! “Prime, Fells Point rowhouse hidden among the bars boasts a GORGEOUS wax studio. It's perfectly and thoughtfully decorated, very inviting, very clean. I love the dusty pink decor!
The 2 ladies (albeit, one of them is leaving soon) are so professional, responsive, nice... Cara checked in on me before and after my wax because I told her I'd had some bad experiences with people who didn't know how to pull my particular color hair and I ended up with dozens of ingrowns. The actual waxer took her time, she was friendly but not overly talkative, and she really knew what she was doing. Plus, it's cheaper than my regular studio by a lot, so I am able to leave a much bigger tip. I cannot say more nice things about this place; so glad to have found it.“

I moved to Baltimore two years ago and needed to find a new stylist. I wanted a salon I could walk to from my apartment, and it’s safe to say I got incredibly lucky when I stumbled upon Dandelion. The salon itself is calming, stylish, and chic, with a special warmth that’s created by Aubrey, Molly (and now Selina).

I always look forward to my appointments because I know I’m in for a treat. From the moment I walk in, I’m greeted with a smile and a “how are ya.” Molly and Aubrey go above and beyond to make sure you’re cared for, whether that’s offering a snack, a drink (alcoholic or nonalcoholic), or a relaxing head massage at the bowl. Their customer service is 10/10.

Beyond the incredible atmosphere, Aubrey’s skill as a hairstylist is top-notch. She’s always open to trying whatever I have in mind and somehow makes it even better than I imagined. I always feel confident and cared for when I’m in her chair. And shoutout to Molly, who is always so friendly, welcoming, and just as talented as her BFF Aubrey. I love the conversations that circulate throughout the salon—I always leave with some kind of knowledge. (Did you know all Skittles taste the same? ?)

However, when I went to make my third appointment, I noticed that the price had nearly doubled and is now $25- and that's without tip. Unfortunately I can't justify that cost anymore so I will be returning to a salon in Parkville with more reasonable rates.“
