I had a colonoscopy done here 7 years ago and I needed a copy of the report sent to my physician. I called and spoke with Laurie. She took the information and faxed the report immediately. THIS IS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT! I want to give my personal appreciation and thanks to Laurie for a Job Well Done! Please recognize her outstanding performance. She deserves it!
Came here for an endoscopy today. I've suffered from chronic heartburn for my entire adult life. I believe it stated when I was around 20 years old. I'm 34, turning 35 in May 2018. At first the heartburn was sporadic and only after eating or drinking acidic substances. Coffee, tomato based foods, anything spicy...ect. As I got older the heartburn became more frequent and more severe. When it became very bad I would eat Tums at the onset of a heartburn episode. The tums eventually stopped working. The frequency and severity continued to worsen so I started taking Prilosec over the counter preventative medicine. For a while it worked and eventually it starting wearing off. I then went to a doctor and they prescribed Protonix and prescription based heart burn medication. Again, it worked for a while and then the effects wore off. My general practitioner recommend I see a gastroenterologist to get a more sophisticated look at what's going on inside me. I was told last night not to eat or drink anything after midnight and continue that process until the my procedure today. Regarding this business, the building is located in a convenient place on Shady Grove Road so it is easily accessible from I-270. He building has lots of private parking. The property itself is nice, clean, and well maintained. The waiting room for doctor is a little outdated but the amenities were nice. A water cooler with hot and cold water and Keurig Coffee machine with options of tea and coffee. Plenty of magazines to read and comfortable chairs. As far as the staff, everyone was friendly and efficient. I waited about 30 mins after filling out my paperwork before being brought back. I was briefed again on the procedure and sedated. Woke up groggy with a sore throat and my visitor was allowed to come see me. Relaxed for about an hour as they generated the results and then I saw the doctor again. I was informed I'm suffering from GERD, basically acid reflux. My option is a take a different PPI or as a last resort Fundoplication which is a surgery to correct the way my body combats acid reflux. Good news is I don't have Barrett's Esophagus so surgery is not required. I'm going to try a different PPI and with some diet changes hopefully I can reduce the inconvenience of constant heartburn. I've made a follow up appt for a few months to see if there is profession in the right direction.
