I loved that he took the time to do the exam and not in a hurry. He answered all my questions and was very engaging. The assistant who helped me pick out my glasses was wonderful as well. “I called Advanced Eye Care for an emergency eye visit ( I had never been there before). They were able to fit me in the next day! I had previously called 2 other places that could not accommodate me. So the fact that AEC was able to fit me in on a Friday and it being a Memorial Day weekend was amazing. “I must give credit where credit is due…Barenburg Dundalk operates like a well oiled machine. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Dr. Gordon has bent over backwards to ensure my contact prescription was correct (apparently my eyes are stubborn). He would not give up and we finally found the right pair for me! He was correct, it’s a “game changer”. I appreciate his professionalisms, knowledge and persistence. He definitely wants to ensure every patient gets the best possible care! “I was referred to the Wilmer Eye Institute after my last eye exam, where I found I may be at risk for glaucoma. This past Friday, 7/12 I arrived at Hopkins for glaucoma testing. I signed in with a front desk on the Orleans St side of the hospital and was directed to the Wilmer Eye Institute. Once I got there, I checked in and was told to go down a level and to check in there as well. I did so and sat in the reception area until I was called. There was a bit of a wait as my appointment was at 10:40 and I wasn't seen until after 11. The glaucoma testing was intense and some parts weren't enjoyable at all, tho necessary. I worked with multiple staff and doctors to complete all the tests, which took around 2 hours total for me. This initial visit set a baseline and now I have to return for additional tests. I appreciate how thorough my testing was at the Wilmer Eye Institute. I hope for the best, but feel I will receive excellent treatment if I do ultimately have glaucoma.“
