I had the parquet floor installed many years ago and it was no longer on the market. I searched high and low to no avail. I don't know how he did it, but I know it was not easy.

We've had 3 major remodeling projects done by Jendell. Our home has been beautifully transformed. Our first remodel was a complete replacement of 3 bathrooms. That was almost 2 decades ago, and we still get compliments. Our kitchen/family room redesign-remodel likewise was nearly perfect. Last year, Jendell designed and constructed a studio/bedroom and full bath from scratch in an unfinished basement. Each project was done efficiently and neatly. They clean up after every single day's work. Once they start a project, they stay on it until completion. We are always willing and able to recommend Jendell for any home remodeling project. We hired American Bath to renovate space in our basement. We had a small bathroom and a tiny laundry with an adjacent hallway. We wanted to merge two rooms into one and expand it by using some space from the hallway. When I first met with Gary from American Bath, I described our idea very broadly. He meticulously measured everything and in a few days, we had a detailed plan with the estimate. While we had an idea, it all depended on professionalism of contractors. We needed a bathroom sink replaced when the pedestal rig in our small but heavily used bathroom suffered a drain cover seize-up. As the plumber from RL Voight confirmed, pedestal sinks are hard to deal with, so we opted for a new cabinet-style unit. A pleasant encounter with the helpful office person resulted in surprisingly quick turn-around for installation, a time we moved up on short notice when the parts arrived earlier than anticipated. The professional who removed our old sink worked quickly and confidently to solve some minor installation challenges related to our uneven floor level. The eminently reasonable fee was worth every penny for peace of mind from knowledge that the job was done right.
Having used them continuously since 1994, I highly recommend Acker and its employee Kenny (who has successfully and efficiently handled our plumbing needs before). Kenny’s work today was outstanding as usual. He was extremely thorough and patiently worked to resolve everything to my and the WSSC water authority’s satisfaction despite our primary plumbing problem today taking more than three hours to resolve (but only because of the WSSC water authority’s long delay in finding our exterior water meter and NOT because Kenny was inefficient). Background: The WSSC billed us 1,000% more than our usual quarterly water bill. It claimed that we probably had a leak somewhere in our house or in our underground exterior pipes. After Kenny determined that we had no such leaks, he astutely suggested that I call WSSC to tell them it was a water meter/leak emergency because of such a high bill and that their water bill and leakage claim were wrong. When the WSSC inspector finally arrived after 90 minutes while Kenny patiently waited here, he then politely proved to its inspector that we had no leaks anywhere and that it had to either be a broken meter or an incorrect meter reading. Bonus: While Kenny waited for the WSSC inspector to arrive, he diagnosed and fixed several other plumbing problems of which I was unaware (but they wwre all unrelated to our erroneously high water bill and WSSC’s inaccurate claim about our supposedly having interior water leaks or broken exterior pipes). So for Acker’s same service call’s time-related charges for which I had to pay anyway because of WSSC’s erroneous claims, we were able to also get other plumbings problems fixed while we were waiting for the WSSC inspector to arrive. Two birds with one stone!

DB Genesis restored the wood floors in our home to their original beauty. We talked to 3 different companies. DB Genesis was right in the middle in terms of price, but we were won over by the staff there. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and quick to respond to any of our questions about the various options they offered. Once we decided on the "look" of the floors, they got to work and the final results are impressive. They also cleaned up almost all of the dust and moved back the heavy furniture for us. He designed the kitchen of my dreams and somehow knew exactly what I wanted—even better than I did! The way he used the space so effectively is nothing short of genius—every inch was maximized, and not a bit of space was wasted. The craftsmanship is exceptional, and I’m in awe of the final product. Merrick remodeled our entire home, and the results were breathtaking. They clearly have a passion for their projects. Our house had been in the family for decades and was in desperate need of a makeover. Merrick helped us keep the home's key structural and design elements while truly making the house our own. The renovation touched every nook of the house, from the basement to the attic, building an addition and bumping out a deck.
But for as awesome as the final result was, the people are what make Merrick so special. Phil as the lead architect got to know us as he designed the renovation and then communicated with us regularly throughout. Dasia helped us to identify our interior design features, and Rodridgo's hands-on leadership on-site was masterful. I met the team on-site and saw them in action. They know their stuff.
I raved about Merrick to a colleague, and it turned out that Merrick had renovated his home over a decade ago. He was also a happy client. Simply put, Addie and her team are top notch. I highly recommend Merrick.
Ascension Home Contractor replaced my roof and it was a great experience. Anxiety was high for me taking on such a big home repair. Jimmy answered all my questions and the team worked efficiently and cleaned up without leaving a trace.
UPDATE: Once you find a great contractor who is reliable, knowledgeable and treats your home like his own you come back for more. After the roof job, I called Ascension back for more projects to include a full basement redo, bathroom and kitchen tile. Still five stars!!! They can handle everything inside and out.

We should have written this review sooner! We sent a message to Kolley's late one evening. First thing, the next day, they called to hear more about our concerns. They were quick to schedule Hugo to come out to assess and treat our issue(s). We have/had a rodent issue and Hugo effectively identified the issues, treated the areas of concern and was super knowledgeable. He placed bait and assured us that this was a solution that would help. The very next day, we saw that the bait had been eaten and the plan was working. A couple of weeks later, they scheduled a follow-up and what do you know... all the baits had been eaten. They re-treated and we expect that the plan will keep working.
Hugo was excellent. The best part (besides getting rid of our rodent issue) is that Hugo walked the property with us, showed us where he sees a need for treatment and educated us on how the remedies will work.

We moved to Kensington recently and needed a local dentist for teeth cleaning. Neither my wife or I have major dental issues...minor maintenance, if necessary. Dr. Maarouf met with both of us and did an awesome job. We're accustomed to having a hygienist do the cleaning, not the dentist! We were also impressed that Dr. Maarouf had a helper for the entire cleaning. During my visit, Dr. Maarouf noticed one of my fillings was compromised. Yesterday, she repaired the filling. She was going to numb the area, but I talked it through with her and advised doing the filling without any numbing. Worked out great. I appreciated her demeanor and willingness to accommodate me. Only minor discomfort for a very short period of time.
Dr. Bradford is phenomenal. I have experienced headaches for years, and her treatment has helped to resolve the headaches and reduce the frequency of the headaches.
Dr. Amon is phenomenal! I had been suffering from severe low back pain for several months - becoming frustrated and almost immobile. Always been very active and in shape. My GP recommended I try Dr. Amon and so I did. After just a few adjustments I began feeling better. After two weeks of adjustments, I began feeling excellent. One month later I am totally pain free and completely active again. Dr. Amon is warm, friendly, a true professional.

I just had a really great experience with Silver Spring Animal Hospital and they'll now be my dog's primary provider. I've struggled with vet care for my 4-year old pup because she's so fearful and resistant. I found this practice through the Fear Free website, because the vets are certified fear-free, which means they've received training on how to calm down fearful dogs. They worked with me to get a good dose of calming drugs before the visit and they allowed me to stay in the room with her which was really important to me (I want to know how my dog reacts and I know my presence makes her feel better even if she was still uncomfortable). Dr. Benton and all the staff I met were really great and everything was clearly explained to me and they took the time to address all my questions.
