“I went to Razer's Edge Tattoo and Piercing looking to have my nostril pierced. I spent a decent amount of time searching for a reliable place to get my nose pierced for fear of having it done wrong, complications afterwards, etc. Razer's had good reviews on google and it was somewhat close so Razer's I went. I pull up and it's good vibes already. Razer is outside before I enter and asks me what I'm there for. I let him know and he asks me to wait inside and lets me know he'll be there soon with some paperwork to fill out. After he comes inside we end up chatting and have great conversation about psychedelics and such, it made me more relaxed getting to know Razer a little more. He's a cool guy! I fill out the paperwork and Razer then informs me about the procedure and after care instructions. It made me feel more secure knowing someone knowledgeable was doing my piercing. The piercing is done almost painlessly !!!! I was so surprised because I expected it to hurt more. His apprentice was mad chill too. A week after and my piercing is almost painless, doesn't even hurt when I twirl it around. No typa bumps or nothin. Idk what kinda magic he worked but I most definitely recommend Razer's Edge!!!“

Tom is by far the best artist hands down. He was super professional, easy to communicate and plan with, and made my idea, specific details and the designs I wanted come to life. The studio was very clean, cool, comfortable, easy to get to, and the pricing was fair. Even though some areas hurt way more than I anticipated or remembered from my first two tatts, Tom was really kind and patient with me and helped me get through it. “Fantastic experience! Had a piece done on my upper arm by Kinsey and I love it. The process was super easy from initially contacting her to final ink on skin. The studio itself is superb. Clean, comfortable, and super cool. Kinsey was a delight to work with. Super easy to talk to. I brought a bag full of stuff to pass the time and didn't use any of it. We ended up just talking for the whole 6-hour session. Overall, a perfect experience and if/when I have more work done, it will definitely be here.“

“I've been going to Naked Art for years now and absolutely adore all of the artist there. I've had tattoos by Eddie, Maddie and Ronie. Each time I go in for my tattoo, it's a very welcoming and warm environment. Clean place and decently priced. Just as a heads up, they do not have a piercer.

“What a wonderful experience. Every so often a place of business will raise the bar for the industry. After being tattooed the past 8 years in a variety of high-end shops in DC and Northern VA, I was blown away by the place. This has to be the most state of the art and clean studios I have ever seen. It is located off a main highway, in a nice quiet industrial park with a nice forrest view. There is ample free parking. The inside of Painful Pleasures looks brand new and is very, very well kept. Hell, even the bathroom has automatic sink and soap dispenser, the floor is immaculate. Every little detail is taken care of. The individual rooms they use for tattooing have private TVs and radio options. The tattoo chair is ergonomic and very comfortable. My artist had the cleanliness and professionalism that could make most ERs look silly. There is also a feature to turn the clear glass walls opaque for tattoos in places that not everybody gets to see. All of the supplies are top notch and they don't skimp. My artist even cleaned the chair in front of me with bleach based cleaner before getting started (despite the fact it was already clean). He also opened all needles in front of me and changed gloves repeatedly to avoid any cross contamination. I was hesitant to post because I am selfishly hoping to allow this studio to be the best kept secret in the DMV area, but when a business and an artist put this much effort into customer experience and work, recognition is mandatory.“

“Had an amazing time at Ripped! Went with a group to get friendship tattoos and it was such a blast. The place was super clean and welcoming, and the staff were so friendly. They even offered us snacks and cold drinks, which was a lifesaver on a hot summer day. Jose was our artist, but honestly, I'd be happy with any of the artists there. “I walked in as a nervous wreck, being a tattoo noob, and from the get-go Anastasia did an excellent job helping me to quash my anxiety. The place was super clean (including the restroom and all surfaces), had excellent art on the walls, and a nice soundtrack. Anastasia was super patient, went really slow and carefully at first, and the rapport between us helped me tune out the discomfort of the procedure. “For my first time ever getting a tattoo, this shop really solidified the experience for me. I called the shop soon after they opened & after hearing that they take walk ins, I sent my inspiration photos, calmed myself (because my nervous excitement was very real I found myself on the cobblestone streets where Saints & Sinners is. Dwaine greeted me & gave me a concise rundown of the process. Upon hearing it was my first time, he was very warm and reassured me that I was in good hands. Waited while my design was drawn up by Dave (who is also the resident landscaper) & took in all the inspiration on the walls. There were frames and books a-plenty. About 10 minutes later, Dave tells me to come upstairs - it's getting real now! From the time he laid the stencil down to the last swipe took all of a solid 20 minutes; I hadn't even got to the juicy part of the podcast I was listening to. After my tears (happy & bittersweet ones for personal reasons) and my payment, I left the shop with my tattoo wrapped well & with stickers, pins and lollipops in my aftercare kit. Sweet. All in all, this was easily the best hour of my day & I can't wait to see how well it will heal. You have a customer in me, Dave - thank you so much.“
