Scott Ruddick, the owner and Sharon Unitas their administrator have been very supportive on all our needs. They gave a lot of sympathy and attended to our needs. They have excellent customer service and the charges are affordable compared to other funeral homes. Scott and Sharon were always there during the ceremonies from the viewing, to the funeral mass up to Glen Haven Memorial Park where my husband was laid to rest in his mausoleum.I am so impressed with the exceptional service of Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home that I would recommend it to whoever needs their service. “I am writing about Clara Rickman, General Mgr at Glen Haven. My family's plot is actually at Lorraine Park cemetery, but I had a horrific experience there, actually 2 incidents (2 family footstones installed in the wrong location, both were the wrong color). However, Clara took over my case and I don't think there are words enough to praise the quality of my experience with her. She was understanding, compassionate, patient, paid attention to detail, and she stayed involved until the job was finished. This was especially important to me because I live in Florida, but my family plot is in Maryland.My journey started in May 2022 when I ordered the footstones from staff at Lorraine Park. I realized there was a problem (after delays from the pandemic, staff incompetence, etc.) when the markers were installed incorrectly in May 2023 and were the wrong color. That's when I filed a complaint and Clara took over. She helped me re-order footstones, made sure they were the correct color, helped me through the review of the proof process, and made sure they were installed in the correct place (Feb 2024). It took a long time, but like I said, she stayed with me the whole time. I knew I could rely on her despite the fact that she worked at a different location and she was in another state from me. I imagine it was a lot of extra work for her because sometimes she would have to drive over to Lorraine Park, plus she had her own workload. So, if you plan to use Glen Haven, touch base with Clara Rickman. She will take very good care of you.“
