“This is long overdue, but I wanted to express and share my gratitude to John Reitz and the entire team of professionals at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home in Frederick Md. My mom passed away last month in Frederick. I am not from there nor do I live there, so I was unfamiliar with the area. This made religious as well as funeral planning more nerve-racking. I reached out to John - he understood my circumstances, and in a calm, understanding voice told me he would take care of my mom; from the hospice to the funeral home. He coordinated with the hospice and, equally important reached out, to the local church to coordinate funeral & mass plans & schedules. In our time of grief and sadness, and in an unfamiliar place, John and his team made my mom's transition smooth, dignified, and as easy as I could have expected.
