“Candy was a great instructor and her class was so fun! Perreo pilates was a great workout and so much fun! Great for all levels of experience, definitely can't wait to do it again“
“I stopped in to buy some cbd at the other business in the room. Prior to that I took a mean fall and hurt myself bad. The ladies working hooked up ice and took care of me and I appreciated it.“
“Denita is one of my fav teachers like Marcia. Any time I see her name listed, I try to get her class. Her directions are perfect and her tone is relaxing and you really get a tough yet relaxing work out. Give her a raise“
“If you are in pain, I enthusiastically recommend seeking out Active Health Solutions. Both Annie and Devin helped me navigate my own treatment through a low back injury. They are knowledgeable and did a fantastic job explaining treatment procedures and the anatomical causes of my pain. This allowed me to implement their recovery plan on my own. I cannot say enough good things about my experience.“
“Excellent instructors! This studio offers amazing exercises that strengthen the body. I enjoy the various classes (flow, control, cardio, center balance), and more. If you are hesitating to join, don’t. You will get stronger and feel better. ~Melanie“
“Tony Touma at CORE is fantastic. He's done more for rehabbing my knee in a few weeks after replacement surgery than Phoenix people did in six months. That's because he spends all his time manipulating my knee and figuring out how my body mechanics are not working a year after surgery. He then gives me the proper exercises to do at home to rebuild my knee strength and flexibility where it is off kilter. Phoenix in Tenleytown just had me doing exercises for the whole 45 minutes I was there and did almost no body manipulation. It was in and out for everyone with little hands on work, especially work that would identify what was wrong. I can't say enough about Tony Touma and CORE.“

“i first met Ryan in 2008 when I joined a local Pilates studio after relocating from NJ. I have been training in Pilates since 1998 and Ryan is one of the top instructors i have worked with. He is really knowledgeable about the kinetics of our musculature and the impact on posture and function. His workouts are always a challenging mixture of strengthening, stretching and balance. I left DC in 2014 but try to train with him whenever I am in DC!“
“Welcoming environment. Teachers are tuned in to individual needs and challenges and make it fun.“
“About eight years ago, I came to Pure Joe's after enjoying Pilates at another well-respected studio in town. The other studio warned me that I'd find Pure Joe too tough - too focused on footwork and form, too demanding. Well, if you're not doing Pilates right, you're not doing Pilates. And Pure Joe's instructors make sure you learn Pilates the right way. They are meticulous, while being supportive and encouraging. They may seem demanding, but that's because form is so critical to achieving the results Pilates has the potential to deliver. The instructors see the routines and habits on which your body relies to remain weak and help you fix those bad habits. I beg for that correction - the value added is in those corrections by the instructor. I can do Pilates on my own, but it's the expertise and experience of the instructors that makes Pilates really work for your body. And there's no better place than Pure Joe. I've tried other studios, other instructors, in DC and elsewhere. But Pure Joe's instructors are unparalleled in the quality of their instruction. My body has been transformed, my core completely strengthened. I even Outdid Pilates through two pregnancies, and the instructors modified the moves to make sure I remained fit and challenged but not cause any problem. Pure Joe is simply the best. Go!“
“I’ve been taking classes from Douglas here for years. He’s great, explains things clearly and is so kind. I also really like that there are no mirrors in the studio space.“
“Upon performing an extensive research on my eating habits and analyzing my anatomy, Madie performed a comprehensive nutritional program specially tailored for my needs. It helped me greatly. I learned a lot and I feel much better. I fully recommend her services. In addition, she's a lovely coach!“
“I've worked with Jacques for a few years now and he creates an incredibly supportive, motivational space to meet personal fitness goals. I started as someone who had trouble lifting at all due to joint issues and now move some serious numbers. He can accommodate different training goals and I strongly recommend him.“
“This location is a bit small but it's still nice and clean. The instructor is nice“
“I have been practicing yoga for over 30 years at many different studios. Past Tense is as good as they get. Excellent teachers, strong sense of community, and two really nice studio spaces in Mt Pleasant. Very grateful to have in our neighborhood.“
“I've been coming here for several weeks to address a sports-related injury. The staff are very cordial and professional. They've given me my initial set of exercises and have progressively changed them as the impacted area continues to heal and improve. I would recommend them for anyone's physical therapy needs.“
“I've been a member for almost 2 years and it's such an addictive healthy habit to pick up. My fav instructors are Shayna (great music selection), Gwendolyn (love her energy), and Damon (kicks your @ss in a good way). Low key, this requires time, energy and a healthy cash flow but it's totally worth the price, the time it takes to find parking (hello, Whole Foods for $free.99). The consistent practice of showing up matters... and it'll show in no time!“
“As someone who has been doing solidcore for 5 years in different cities - this is one of the best locations by far. Coach Alethea is one of the nicest & most thoughtful coaches/humans. She will get to know you, cheer you on throughout the entire class, and let you know that if you don’t want to get on your toes today that’s okay! She is all about listening to your body and being positive - and her classes are top notch. I leave feeling so good and not having to workout again for a couple days to rest my body! Thank you Alethea and all the solidcore coaches I’ve gotten to know!“
“Real reformer Pilates. Always a good workout. Every instructor is different and great in their own way.“
“I loved it! Great work out! I would add all 5 if the beds are wiped well between sessions and if the instructor factors in a 3-5 min stretch“
“Scarlett is encouraging/engaging. She gives a challenge and always includes modifications and pays attention to form??❤️??“
“Crystal City only has one location on the map for ClassPass, so I decided to give it a try. I had the pleasure of taking a class with the head coach, Nina. She was able to show me around and told me about the different resistance level springs. The full body session targeted the inner thighs and core. I didn't think I would sweat during class but I literally felt sweat dripping down my arms and my face. Pilates on the reformer with Nina will challenge you! You'll work out muscles you never thought ever existed until class. There are self-locking lockers and two gender neutral bathrooms. Both bathrooms have toiletries for your personal use -- tampons, hair ties, Bobby pins, hair spray, deodorant spray, etc. It can be on the more premium side in terms of price (drop in class is $40), but if you have classpass or a monthly membership, it's worth it if you want to commit to Pilates and a strong body! I recommend solidcore!“
“Just did my first class at solidcore with Christina K (who subbed another instructor) and I love it. I’ve been doing reformer Pilates for more than 16 years so this was an interesting modification of what I’m used to. The pace was slightly different and their unique reformer “sweatlana” was so diverse . Can’t wait to go back.“
“Recently visited for a dance/twerk class!! The dance workout was so much fun it was so easy to forget its exercise! The workouts were simple yet challenging! Safe space, and I didn’t feel judged at all. All bodies and levels of dance are always welcome!!!! Love that!I regularly workout in my personal time, so I love looking for classes like this for fun, UNIQUE cardio!!! Come out and get a happy sweat with Posh ????“
