“Lee Funeral Home did a phenomenal job handling the important details of the service for my late husband on February 5, 2024.In addition, they accepted the responsibility of picking up my husband's body from DCA National Airport because he died in Ohio and wanted to be buried in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD. Elizabeth and Kimberly worked closely with Anderson Funeral Home in Franklin, OH to safely see my husband back home in Maryland. Once I returned to Maryland, all that was left to complete was approving the required paperwork and taking care of the payment. The process was seamless.The chapel was so lovely I was able to hold the service at Lee's. I had several people who attended tell me what a lovely service for my husband. “Mount Olivet Cemetery is a cemetery on a hill with views. Walk to the top and spin around. You'll see the U.S. Capitol and Washington Monument in one direction and Ivy City and the Basilica in another. It's breathtaking. Beyond the views there's much to see and experience at this historic cemetery. First of all, it's the oldest Catholic cemetery in the city. Secondly, it's the final resting place of people who served in politics, but also assassins and spies. Randomly, the first person to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge is buried here too. After you pay your respects, walk to either Mother Rucker's for subs or over to Ivy City for the breweries and distilleries.“
