She is also skilled at growing your own hair underneath, especially if your goal is to grow your own locs. My hair feels healthy and is getting to a length where I will feel comfortable wearing it out. She is also efficient and I am in and out within a reasonable time - now waiting around on other clients. My time is my time and I value that type of service.“

“I have been getting my hair done at Carmen's Salon for many years and she and her staff are the only people I trust to style my hair professionally! For a time I had moved to a city further away and I started going to a different salon. That other salon really did some serious damage to my hair! I started going back to Carmen's salon and ever since then my hair has grown so long and healthy. I have naturally curly hair and when I get my wash & sets and blowouts done here it looks fabulous! (see picture attached). And when I wash my hair again at home, my curls are intact and still healthy. I don't understand why people are leaving bad reviews because you won't find a better salon in the whole DMV than this one! You can tell she uses quality hair products and cares about her customers hair. For the people complaining about the prices, if you don't want to pay for a professional service then just stay home if you can't afford it. She will assess for any damage and communicate with you clearly every step of the way in your hair care journey. The salon also looks very clean and modern.
