“I like that the canine coaches are very attentive to the dogs and immediately deal with any aggressive play or behavior. Staff also keeps the rooms clean and cleans up any messes right after they happen. I also enjoy that they have special days and activities for the dogs and will do cute photos for a 5$ fee. Wendell's prom and Olympic photos are the best and they are proudly displayed on my fridge and in my office :) Most importantly, my dog loves it, has been going since he was a puppy, and has made several friends with other regulars :)“

“Looooove, love, love bringing my micro bernedoodle, Ziggy, to see Gabi and Ashley at Petropolis. She is currently 5 months old and came for 4 sessions of “puppy integration” to get acclimated to the space before having her first grooming appointment to ensure she was comfortable in the space, with the tools, and with the groomers. I felt at ease knowing that she was well cared for and able to enjoy playing with the other dogs in the shop that day instead of sitting alone in a crate all day. Gabi is so lovely to work with and genuinely cares about the happiness of your pup; it made the entire experience feel more like leaving Ziggy with a friend to hang out for the day who happens to be an amazing groomer! I can’t wait to come back for her next appointment and I know she can’t either.“

“LIsa has been grooming my dog for several years now. She knows how to work with anxious pups. Always great cut, and the dog smells great. Not sure where the ownership reviews came from, but even when she was undergoing medical stuff, the dogs were always well cared for and appointments have been honored.“

“Taken my two dogs here for a few years now. My old doggy died and they gave me a card. How kind. My golden retriever was scared at his first visit without his brother. (But they made him comfortable and sent me a video showing he had calmed down). These people are great!!

My other dog was a poodle so he visited every 6-8 weeks. My golden visits every other time. I am eager for my new puppy to meet these ladies.“

“My baby’s first grooming appointment with Tatiana was a success. She was so pretty with the bows on her ears. Her hair did get matted quickly, but that’s out of their control. I’ll definitely be back for another grooming session.“

“Palisades Vet has been great. They have treated both of my cats very well, whether it is vet appointments, occasional boarding stays when I am out of town, or dental work. The staff is friendly as well. I know my cats are in good hands with the people there.“

“While visiting VA in summer, my Yorkie started making weird and scary noises (reverse sneezing) like if she weren’t able to breath ?. I immediately called Heart + Paw and after they listened over the phone, what has happened, they squeezed me in for a a check up. Dr. Jaclyn Erwin was very king and explained it was an episode of reverse sneezing. Not need to worry about. It wasn’t life threatening and it will go away with time. Next day the Dr. called to follow up my Yorkie’s episode and even helped with some tips for future episodes, if so. Heart + paw has a Super fast, friendly, kind a caring services. ? My Yorkie is doing great and she is ready travel back with me. ✈️“

“Usually I would not write the review until the service is complete (I pick up Miss Kitty tomorrow morning) but I just have to let the world know what a blessing it was that I found CKCR. Miss Kitty's previous "owner" died in March and her family could not take her in. We connected "by accident" on FB in June, and we've now been together, slowly adjusting, for just four months.

Meanwhile, after several challenging/failed attempts to get her into her carrier so we could leave for a building exterminator appointment, and after cancelling several appointments, I worked with her treats for a week and she walked easily into the carrier. But the appt was delayed four hours after I had already gotten her into the carrier, and we would need to be gone from the apartment for four hours after that. I was so worried about her being in the carrier for so long that I started crying, quite to my surprise. A dear friend suggested that I findi a boarding service so she could be comfortable during the time.

Thank you, Google maps!. I was so grateful to get CKCR on the phone. Bridget called me right back and guided me through the intake process, including making sure we had documentation of shots & spaying. I had her records, but not everything was clear at first. Bridget was so kind and reassuring, as I was crying on and off during the conversation. (Lot's of old feelings to process later on!) She also suggested several things, like a piece of clothing with my scent I could bring to help Miss Kitty feel at home. I felt so relieved.

CKCR is less than a mile away, and another dear friend was available to drive me and Miss Kitty, with Kitty meow/howling and me crying on and off! When we got there, we were so warmly welcomed by Bridget, who showed us Miss Kitty's "condo" and set it all up with food, litter, and the "comfy" items I had brought. I also saw a fabulous play area and she assured me that Miss Kitty will be fine and she will send pictures. I also watched as Miss Kitty tried to dash off when Bridget opened the carrier, and Bridget simply reached under her belly and guided her into the condo. I did not know how to do that! I am so relieved and grateful, and thank the Universe for this blessed gift! And I feel very sure that anything I add to this tomorrow morning will be nothing but positive.“

I also appreciate that Becky, the owner, is so diligent about asking for proof of rabies vaccination before she will accept a dog for grooming. “Amazing experience I got my two boys groomed. They are senior dogs and have some arthritis in the back legs and some skin issues. She worked with and bathed them with a special shampoo for skin allergy. Also got recommended products for skin allergies and possible different diets for allergy sensitive dogs. She sent me pictures through out and updated me with anything I needed to know. Quick to responded and very timely. I recommend Anyone taking their time to do research on a good groomer to definitely take you dogs here. I couldn’t have had a better experience.“

“I've brought my dog here 3-4 times for grooming. I always make my appointment via text and Carel accommodates our schedule for dropping off. She always communicates when our dog is almost done so we have a 20 minute heads up when we can pick her up. The cuts have all been good and our dog seems well cared for.“

“I called ahead of time to let them know my dog was wobbling back and forth. I was so scared as she never had anything like this happen to her. This was at four in the afternoon. They were quick and kind caring for my fur baby and me since I was a bit emotional from worrying. I am thankful for their swift care for her. She's home with us resting and the doctor asked us to come back first thing in the morning for some more fluids. And finally to receive the results of her bloodwork.“
