“I was visiting from out of town and was driving all over looking for an open hair cutting place for my two boys. We stopped by several places and was refused service. The Hair Den was our last stop! They took us in and treated us like family the vide was amazing. They put cartoons on for my kids and let me tell you... MY TWO blonde hair blue eye boys GOT THE BEST HAIRCUT EVER! we have been trying different places and kids haircut specialists cause everyone keeps messing it up cutting it uneven. Stylist: I had Jose cut my hair and give me a beard trim and shave. He did an excellent job made sure all the sides and angles were cut accurately and took his time to make sure everything was lined up right. Will definitely be back again.“

“Honestly Gil deserves more than 5 Stars hes not only an excellent barber but a genuinely great guy! I enjoy watching netflix and chatting about the show while getting a solid cut. I was referred to Gil as I was struggling to find a good barber and despite him being a 40 min drive its worth it. Gil listens to you and provides really good advice on what he thinks will work vs wouldnt work and makes you feel heard. He doesnt rush so you know youre always going to get the best cut. I love the privacy of his shop as well. Cant recommend Gil enough!“

“Jenn at 40 West is a gift from the heavens! A couple years back, I was searching for someone who was great with kids to cut my daughter's hair--my daughter was super nervous about it, and I wanted to make sure it went well. A few local folks recommended Jenn, and from the moment we walked through the door of the salon where Jenn worked, she made my daughter so at ease. So when Jenn moved to 40 West Barbershop, we followed her and I am so grateful for her talent, patience, and how she touches base throughout the cut to make sure it is what my daughter wants.I started getting my own hair cut by Jenn last summer, and I am wondering why I waited so long? She really is expert at what she does, can follow a photo easily and I cannot stress how much it means to me that she checks in during the cuts--she is honest, not pushy, but does have really outstanding suggestions. I like to style my own hair and dye my own red, so Jenn graciously lets me leave the shop with my damp hair and freshly lightened roots, and I cannot tell you how amazing it is to style it and see exactly what I wanted before my eyes. Jenn is a gem!Also, I love the camaraderie between the barbers and stylists at the shop. I felt so comfortable the first time I went there. It's not uptight or stodgy, and even though my daughter and I were the only female clientele during this visit, it wasn't at all awkward or uncomfortable.“
