We came home from vacation late in the day to find our heat was out. Maryann from Akian came out right away. It turned out to be a really thorny problem, but Maryann was extremely knowledgeable and persistent, and was happy to explain what she was doing as she did it. What impressed me the most, however, and made the ultimate difference to me being truly WOWed and making Akian our new go-to HVAC and plumbing call, was how conscientious Maryann was. She felt a strong obligation to do right by us and didn’t want to leave us without heat. She stayed much longer than another technician might have trying to find and solve the problem. When she exhausted her options with the equipment she had and had to call it for the day, she felt that she couldn’t charge us (even for the parts she already had used up to that point) until it was actually fixed - again, WOW! She came back the next day with more parts and a second pair of hands, Mikey, and fixed it! Thank you so much Maryann and Mikey, and thank you so much Akian for having their back while they made decisions in their customers’ best interests. It’s clear that Akian treats both their customers and their employees right; that trust can’t be bought, it has to be earned, and Akian has earned it. We’ll be going with Akian going forward!
