“I'm not usually one to post reviews, but I wanted to share my experience with this salon because it's been very important to me. I first went to see Caroline because I was in "crisis mode" and naturally wanted to make some drastic changes to my hair. It was kind of a dark time, but Caroline helped brighten it up with some bleach, toner, and a fresh cut. Immediately, the compliments came rolling in from everywhere (and I mean EVERYWHERE). I'm talking friends, family, coworkers, strangers on the street, people in the checkout line, everybody. The validation and attention I've found has made a big difference in my confidence and my ability to put myself out there. As great as it is to have other people's approval, it's also just a really special feeling when you can look in the mirror and see exactly who you want to be. “This review is a long time coming. I came here during the summer for microblading with Kym. I had over tweezed my brows over the years and they looked too sparse and uneven for my liking. Kym took her time mapping out the shape and picked out the perfect color that matched my natural brows exactly. I was going for a natural look and Kym delivered. I really love the shape she gave me. The place is super cute and I feel pretty just going there because of how nice it is inside. I would highly recommend Kym and Dollface if you're looking to get your brows micro bladed!“

They quickly rescheduled my appointment after my stylist had a last-minute emergency and worked around my schedule very easily. “Working with Lyndsay Simon beauty for my wedding was a great choice. I had Taylor for hair and Eliza for makeup. I was a little nervous going into my trial as I'm not a super hair/makeup girl and wasn't sure what to expect, but I had no reason to fear. They were both so quick to understand my vision and they really encouraged me to give honest feedback and promised I couldn't hurt their feelings. I extra appreciated Eliza going step by step with me when I said I felt like something was missing until we figured it out. I did the trial before my bachelorette which I highly recommend; not only did I look beautiful that night but I also got to confirm my looks lasted through hours of being out and about.

On the wedding day there were both so timely, polite, and organized. I really appreciated them being calm presences and keeping the mood positive. All my wedding party loved working with them and everyone turned out beautiful. I highly recommend Lyndsay Simon beauty.“

“Jenny and Lauren worked their hair and makeup magic for myself and 7 other ladies (4 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and one little sister) for my July 7 wedding in Boston. Jenny's communication from time of booking through the trial and the day-of was amazing, and I always felt like we were on the same page. I really loved their focus on good hair and skin prep, and emphasis on making sure everyone still felt like themselves - particularly those in the party who were less comfortable with getting their makeup done. Lauren was so gentle with my husband's little sister, who was getting her hair and makeup done for the first time ever. Lauren took the time to explain everything she was doing before it happened and checked in frequently to make sure she was comfortable. My little sister in law went from very nervous to absolutely beaming by the time they were done! Can't thank them both enough for making my wedding morning very chill and comfortable experience! :)“

“I’ve been a client of Stilisti for eight years now. My cuts and color are *consistently* gorgeous. Marisa (the owner) is my primary hairdresser, but I don’t hesitate for a moment to see another stylist (Ana) if the scheduling works out better. Marisa emphasizes training of everyone in the salon and her standards are high! Even the hair washes feel special; Darlyne, in particular, gives an awesome scalp massage. The salon uses Goldwell color, which is my favorite for my blonde hair and they do a beautiful job with dimension (base color with tons of high/low lights and also a really pretty Scandinavian blonde treatment around my hairline). Maybe best of all is that there is zero attitude at this salon, which is so refreshing (especially for Newbury Street). The prices are consistent with other downtown Boston/Back Bay salons (read “not cheap” :)) but 100% worth it, especially when I factor in how well my cuts grow out. If it weren’t for my fast-growing roots at age 48, I could definitively stretch the time between appointments; but - alas - I love how great I feel with consistently great hair, so I am on about an every 8 week schedule. Bottom line: highest marks for Stilisti ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“I am not exaggerating when I say Jennifer at Joy Skin Atelier transformed my skin. Both through a combination incredible facials that she customized specifically to my needs, but also for her recommendations on skin care products.I was already spending a small fortune on products, but the products Jennifer recommended for me (all carried by Joy Skin Atelier) have had more dramatic results then anything I've bought myself after hours of research.The only reason I don't want to write this review is I'm afraid it will make getting an appointment harder as more people find out how fantastic Joy Atelier is. “I came in with little knowledge of how to properly maintain my Loc’s and left feeling refreshed and informative. The deep clean/wash by Shanice was literally so amazing, relaxing, refreshing that it’s had me knocked out in a peaceful way. I felt like I wash home getting pampered by my mother. Then during the styling of my Loc’s she informed me of all the proper ways to maintain my locs and what to use for the future. And I was so happy with the finial product. “I've been seeing Kelly for over five years now. She originally brought me from box black to blonde healthily and slowly when I first started coming. We've been dying my hair a fun and vibrant orange dye that's healthy for several years now. Time and time again she's done a great job, taken inspo pics seriously and has never left me disappointed. If you're looking for a color specialist who also works well with various styles of cutting be it more choppy razor cuts or good layering she's a fantastic pick.

I used to be nervous to get my hair cut- now I don't even think twice if we need to cut an inch or two off as she's always been good at showing me exactly how much she'd cut too.“

“We take our kids to get their haircut here. One of my children has sensory issues around haircuts and is quite the nightmare to give a haircut to. Despite that, the staff here is incredibly patient with him. I get so embarrassed, but they really make sure to try to make him feel comfortable and to let me know to not feel embarrassed. They are very patient! Highly recommend this place for kids haircuts.“

“I'm from out of town and I needed my crazy hula show lashes fixed. I was so fortunate to find Lucia! Her work is meticulous and instead of removing my old lashes and starting from scratch (which would have cost more), she was able to work with what I had and I left her studio with the most gorgeous and fresh lashes ever!
