Be cautious of prescription glasses/sunglasses ordered through the office. The sunglasses I ordered were made with a different color lens then what I tried on. I was told (only after I asked about it) that polarization is not available in the color lens in the demo. Had I known that I would have selected a different pair....

Waited 4 weeks for an update on my primary glasses prescription lenses to be told they are on backorder.“

“Before the procedure I went down the path of watching LASIK videos on YouTube. I also read Reddit posts about peoples' experiences and quit frankly got scared of some of them. I've heard of some of the horrible outcomes and risks that come with the procedure. However, I had to remind myself that people with negative experiences are more likely to share and post on social media about them. I decided to go through with it. “I have been a patient for several years. This past weekend I developed a foreign body irritation in my right eye that was very sensitive to light and painful. With a history of dry eye, I called the office on Monday and spoke to Silvia. She understood my issue and scheduled me to come in later in the day. Unfortunately due to other commitments, I had to delay till next day and Silvia was very accommodating. I saw Dr. Jeff after a very short wait and he immediately saw that I had a corneal ulcer forming. He prescribed medication and sent me on my way. She is smart, knowledgeable, personable, and compassionate. She is a great dr but also, a great person. And multi-talented. Did you know about her musical ability? The woman can do it all. Love catching up with Mimi at the front desk (and Kathy before her.) She always has a smile waiting for patients as they enter the door and a friendly goodbye when you leave. Having the optics shop on site is added convenience, and there is always someone available to help with glasses. I have not only vision issues, but eye health ones as well, and Dr. Elgas treats it all and refers me out if needed. I would recommend this practice to anyone needing not just an optometrist, but wanting a GREAT one.“
