“We had called JEP Contracting when we had noticed some rotting wood around our french doors in our dining room. We really were just planning on replacing the doors but due to the deck being built incorrectly and not a step down from the door frames, they had suggested bringing the deck down to the appropriate level. And we weren’t sure how much damage there was to the wood etc. We have a very large deck, wood. We decided to bite the bullet and demo the entire deck and replace w composite. I had originally planned to replace my french doors w a slider and two window panels but in the middle of the project I changed my mind and decided on a double slider, which meant we needed a large beam to hold up the second level. We also needed to redo our pantry closet which was a door to nowhere. From the start of the project, where Patrick had designed the deck and door and pantry, to the completion, everything was so smooth. Patrick was there everyday for any questions and updates and to make sure everything was running smoothly. Ryan, who is Patrick’s right hand man, was always there and did anything and everything you needed. Along w the double slider, things changed w the pantry also and had a custom made pantry closet. It was not a big deal at all for the changes. Only thing we had to wait for was the door from Anderson but sometimes stuff happens! Overall, the experience was amazing. If I had any concerns, they were addressed and I had no problems! Everything was done beautifully and I couldn’t be happier w my new doors (the dining room was also freshly painted, and half the hardwood replaced and sanded/stained), my pantry closet and my gorgeous deck! I would call JEP contracting back for any larger project I needed going forward. I would also recommend to anyone looking to remodel! Showing some before and afters.“

“A great contractor is hard to find! We recently hired Henrique Santos of Elite Service Contractors to repair rotted wood along the house foundation, repair rot damage under the sliding glass door and to rebuild our deck. When Henrique saw the initial level of damage, he felt that other areas of the foundation should be evaluated. He found and photographed several additional areas of severe rot damage and areas where the original builder failed to add vapor barriers and drainage channels which resulted in the needed repairs. Henrique opted to repair with the Zip Wall system and this was then installed along the entire backside and a front portion of the house. Due to the amount of damage, an element of mold remediation was needed and this repair by his team was performed and passed inspection. We also had his team add rain gutters around the home. Henrique has a great eye for design too! He sent us a drawing of the new revamped deck, made suggestions on what would look good and built us a beautiful deck that matches our outdoor living space beautifully. We were so impressed with their professionalism, suggestions and attention to detail. They were always prompt, courteous, and kept us informed throughout the entire process whether in person, email or text. The repair work took many weeks, was completed on time and within budget. “Pull up a chair, grab a drink…this is going to be a long post! When I fell in love with a fireplace surround at an antique store, I wondered if I could find a contractor who could ‘work backwards’ to make a dream happen. I met with two contractors who promptly ghosted me. I though about putting the darn surround on e-bay. Luckily, The Stove Place-where I bought the propane stove- put me in touch with Chad. From the first meeting I appreciated Chad’s confidence, insight and enthusiasm. It’s infectious. He quickly pulled the permits and got to work. The added touch of putting down thick cardboard to protect the floor from all the traffic that was going to happen was extremely considerate. He treated the project like it was happening at his house. He was always on time, one step ahead with planning and very respectful yet easy going and kept mum and I laughing. I felt included with what he was hoping to accomplish each day and even the following day. He organized the electrician and was ruthless with getting the inspections completed. Chad’s skill with framing, dry wall, plastering, anything to do with wood really, is top notch. He works carefully and has a high personal standard that shines through his work. He has a tool for everything. Never did he have to run out to grab anything. He arrives prepared to tackle the unthinkable! I honestly cannot thank you enough for making my fireplace project come to life. It’s by far the best room in the house now! We’re very grateful.“
