“Under the strangest circumstances, Bob made everything work. We went from having a very intense probate matter to a smooth, compassion and respectful service. Bob went above and beyond to ensure we had a final goodbye for our dad in the most dignified way. Although, we didn’t have the corps at the memorial, he made sure we were able to overcome and take part in my dad’s memorial. Especially during difficult times, you want someone who is knowledgeable, compassionate and out to help you provide the services and experience for your loved one and family. Sweeney Brothers was all that and more.

Customer service seems to be a lost art, especially in these post-COVID times, but Sweeney Brothers provided, by far and away, the best customer service I have received in the last 4 years (perhaps the last 40 years!)—it was exceptional. They are a business, and need to be paid for the service they provide, but I never felt any pressure to purchase something that I didn’t want. Options/suggestions/recommendations? Yes (and were appreciated since I didn’t know what to do). Pressure? No.

Emails and phone calls were responded to promptly—in fact, at one point I had to tell Richard to stop getting back to me and to enjoy his SUNDAY! He not only steered me through the entire process, including legal and regulatory requirements for body identification, cremation, internment but volunteered to make arrangements with the cemetery and church for services so that I wouldn’t have to.

Their history and deep ties within the industry and community allows them to make recommendations and connections that would be hard to match. They know what they are doing and do it exceptionally well. If there were 6 stars, I would easily give them and would likely be asking for a seventh.“

“Please read… if i could give 10 stars to this business i would in a heartbeat… i called into woodlawn with an issue with a memorial marker that i had ordered for the family of a dear friend that passed way too soon… after finding out about the issue i called in and asked to speak to whoever ran the shop and luckily one of the owners named David happened to be in the office when i called… let me just say, David really takes pride in his business and handled this issue with the utmost compassion and professionalism as i have ever seen…. He even gave me his personal cell number so i may call him directly with any questions or concerns and had what i thought was going to be a 2 month ordeal done in about 2 weeks …. Hands down this is a man of his word!!!… as with anything there is always that chance of a mistake… what makes all the difference is how that mistake is handled and david at woodlawn completely over exceeded my expectations…. This is one of those businesses that you hope to never have to use but are eventually needed… when you do need this service david at woodlawn is your man…. Hats off to you david and thank you again“
