Its easily one of the best hair cuts I've ever gotten and I really appreciated how much time she took/what a thorough job she did discussing what I wanted done (I have pretty bad anxiety so that part is often hard for me, but I felt really comfortable and we were able to cover everything). I could also tell she was being very mindful of my hair texture the entire time she was cutting it which is often an issue for me when I get my hair cut (I have wavy hair). It was a great experience and I will definitely be going back!“

Both Amanda and Sal are gifted artists. Both have received well-deserved Boston Magazine Best of Boston awards. After a visit my hair always looks great thanks to these two talented professionals. What is more is that they are both very lovely people as are other team members at the salon. The new location at Park Plaza is charming and comfortable. “Andrew has been an absolute superstar! I'm often looking to completely change my hairstyle and he's met those requests with excitement instead of apprehension. He's also done a great job with both hair transitions he's worked on with me! To be honest I can't afford his haircuts but I keep going to him because he's the only person in the city that I trust with non-standard hairstyles across the gender spectrum.<br><br>Edit: My last couple haircuts have been quite disappointing. I tried to convince myself the haircuts were okay. But the lines in my hair were uneven both times and I asked for layers both times and he cut my hair all to the same length both times. Since he didn't give me layers the first time, I asked him to cut my hair short if he needed to for layers the second time around. This time again he cut my hair all to one length, but this time shorter. I would trust him completely with masculine hairstyles but I don't think I'm ever going back for a hairstyle with any femme components. The last couple appointments also felt more rushed and like he didn't have the time or energy to spend on the haircut and just wanted it out of the way, so all in all, I'm probably on the lookout for a new hairstylist.. :(“

“I went to Phil's after a bad curly cut from someone I have been going to for over a year . Maureen not only fixed my curly cut but gave me a beautiful cut! It was Just what I wanted and she listens to you and tells you what she is doing . Don't expect frills like you are on Newbury street but you get a good cut for a great price ! Thank you Maureen!“

“My best haircut.<br><br>Originally, I wanted to go to Kailan but they didn’t take cash so I went to curl. I was skeptical at having to pay 50 bucks instead of $50 but it’s totally worth it. They gave me like a poncho to wear and wash my hair before and after the haircut and my Barber spoke English. He asked me what I wanted. I gave him a reference photo and he made a few revisions, ending with a nice cut and styling.<br>All of my friends gave me a compliment for my haircut and many of them said that “my barber did me right, which was the first time I’ve gotten that.<br>This was my first time going to a fancy Chinese hair salon, and I’ll be going back.<br><br>Hair type: Chinese“

“Two color ninjas!! I have received hair treatments from both Nikki and Lisa. Nikki is my go to. She is always guiding me and keeping my hair perfect and healthy! Lisa not only nailed my cut/color/balayage, she squeezed me in and nursed it back from big mistakes made by an hair student I tried to support. They pay close attention to how environmental factors wreak havoc on the threads and plan an approach accordingly. My hair has never looked & felt better, plus they are a great hang for the short time in the chair. (Meaning they are fun, but fast and efficient too!)
