The hairdresser I had, Khalee, was a blast to be around, made me feel super comfortable, and completely understood my vision and helped me figure out what would suit my style and face shape best. She made my first experience so welcoming and encouraging and I am very excited to make this my go-to salon!!“

“I started to go to LAMS about a year ago now and have never loved a salon more! Grace Doncel helped me get my curls looking the best they have in years. The location is about a 10 minute walk from South Station and the salon itself is beautiful. Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone if you are looking for a high-quality haircut.“

“Amad is a very knowledgable man in life and in hair cutting // hair styling. We enjoyed great conversation through the entire haircut and I felt very comfortable with him cutting my hair.

As for the haircut, I was skeptical at first when I left the salon and when I got home. But after a few days I came to the realization that Amad did me a great service. I had described that I wanted a haircut I could grow into, while growing my hair out. He executed the cut to perfection. Very much gave me a haircut I enjoy and feel confident in, as well as providing me a cut I can grow into, while staying true to my goal of growing my hair out.

“Andrew has been an absolute superstar! I'm often looking to completely change my hairstyle and he's met those requests with excitement instead of apprehension. He's also done a great job with both hair transitions he's worked on with me! To be honest I can't afford his haircuts but I keep going to him because he's the only person in the city that I trust with non-standard hairstyles across the gender spectrum.

Edit: My last couple haircuts have been quite disappointing. I tried to convince myself the haircuts were okay. But the lines in my hair were uneven both times and I asked for layers both times and he cut my hair all to the same length both times. Since he didn't give me layers the first time, I asked him to cut my hair short if he needed to for layers the second time around. This time again he cut my hair all to one length, but this time shorter. I would trust him completely with masculine hairstyles but I don't think I'm ever going back for a hairstyle with any femme components. The last couple appointments also felt more rushed and like he didn't have the time or energy to spend on the haircut and just wanted it out of the way, so all in all, I'm probably on the lookout for a new hairstylist.. :(“

Sam is an expert colorist, especially vivid colors, and the only person on plant earth I trust with my curls.

She's professional and hardworking, they are VERY lucky to have her here, and I hope they treat her as well as she treats every client.“

“My best haircut.

Originally, I wanted to go to Kailan but they didn’t take cash so I went to curl. I was skeptical at having to pay 50 bucks instead of $50 but it’s totally worth it. They gave me like a poncho to wear and wash my hair before and after the haircut and my Barber spoke English. He asked me what I wanted. I gave him a reference photo and he made a few revisions, ending with a nice cut and styling.
All of my friends gave me a compliment for my haircut and many of them said that “my barber did me right, which was the first time I’ve gotten that.
This was my first time going to a fancy Chinese hair salon, and I’ll be going back.

“Two color ninjas!! I have received hair treatments from both Nikki and Lisa. Nikki is my go to. She is always guiding me and keeping my hair perfect and healthy! Lisa not only nailed my cut/color/balayage, she squeezed me in and nursed it back from big mistakes made by an hair student I tried to support. They pay close attention to how environmental factors wreak havoc on the threads and plan an approach accordingly. My hair has never looked & felt better, plus they are a great hang for the short time in the chair. (Meaning they are fun, but fast and efficient too!) “I have been searching high and low to find a stylist specifically for my pixie cut. I stumbled across this salon online and decided to check out their website. I booked my appointment a week in advance with ease. The day of my appointment I was running late but they were really nice and did not make a fuss of it. I had the pleasure of having Malik style my pixie. I didn't have to wait more than 5-10 minutes to sit in his chair. He briefly examined the condition of my hair and asked me of my expectations. He was really hilarious. He had me laughing throughout my service. The atmosphere almost feels like you're sitting in your auntie's living room listening to gossip and good music. I normally wear my pixie for a few days before changing into braids or a wig but it's been over 2 weeks and I'm still wearing it. It seems to get better and better as the days go on. I feel so confident and sexy. I thought that this would be a one time thing as I was getting my hair done for vacation but I will definitely go back to Malik over and over again.“
