“We switched to Dr. Ledet's office after we had a few not so great experiences with our previous vet of 6 years. Dr. Ledet is SO thorough & knowledgeable. She not only tells you what your pet may need, but goes in depth as to why, & I think that is very important in a healthcare provider of any kind. She explains every little thing no matter how long it takes and answers all of my questions! We bring both of our girls here (golden retriever & black lab), and our lab just got her teeth cleaned & had x-rays while she was under anesthesia which I LOVE that they offer x-rays not only of their teeth, but a thoracic x-ray to check for abnormalities! We are all about taking preventative measures to keep our girls happy & healthy! And SHE called me personally during Mei's teeth cleaning & after to tell me how it was going/how it went/review her findings/etc. Her office may be touch more expensive than our last, but it is 100% true when they say "you get what you pay for!" She & her staff are WORTH IT!“

“My elder dog Beaux, developed cataracts he had about 10% vision. They did surgery and he’s doing great. His vision is restored. Very professional, knowledgeable and a streamline process. But very expensive! I’m grateful I have insurance. Despite the cost they did a great job!“

“I had to leave a review because i was so pleased with this clinic. I’m super picky with vet clinics mainly bc i worked at one and know things. This vet is so so smart, and her staff is just as smart and kind. The energy in there is so calm and my dog did amazing even though he was extremely scared. They take their time and really try to figure out the issue. I HIGHLY recommend and I’m glad i finally found a vet i trust.“

“I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. If I could give six stars I absolutely would! We have a 3 year old lab who has severe allergies, and it has been a struggle everyday. At other vet clinics, we have felt dismissed and like our questions were never fully answered. After meeting with Dr. Doyle and the lovely vet technician today, I can say I have never felt more heard. She took her time and made sure to answer all of our questions, and give great recommendations for what our next steps should be moving forward. She was also very transparent about pricing and explained everything she recommended and the reasoning behind it thoroughly. “I can’t say good enough things about southpaws! After a three week downhill battle with our dog at two other clinics, my five year-old active girl stopped walking and was miserable. Out of desperation, another clinic referred me to South paws. I called them and they were so sweet on the phone and told us to come on in. we had an hour and 15 minute drive from our house and got there at 4:45 when they closed at 5 PM. Dr. Newton and her team stayed late (like 7:30/8PM!) to evaluate her, give her fluids, and run blood work. The Night Shift nurse was incredible and honestly, the whole staff was just phenomenal. They treat you like part of the family.
While she had two overnight stays, we received numerous calls from dr Newton and the team updating us and going over care plan and just brainstorming. Since being home, we have also received many calls checking in on how Willow has been doing.
Dr. Newton also kept our vet in Baton Rouge informed and talked to him the night that we brought Willow in to go over everything that we had been dealing with for three weeks. I can’t thank y’all enough. We are forever grateful.“
