The one-on-one attention from the physician sets Pal Optical apart from newer chain stores, where patients feel rushed through different techs and stations. Many long-time customers praise the staff for their helpfulness and the affordability of services, as most work is done in-house, allowing for great deals without relying heavily on limited vision insurance. I've been coming here for over 15 years. I like that it's a family business. They remember me from year to year! Unlike some of the newer chain places in town that speed you along through different techs and stations, at Pal Optical, you're with the actual physician the entire time, one on one. You're never pressured to purchase anything additional. And they genuinely care.
One of the few remaining ORIGINAL DECADES - OLD LEXINGTON FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESSES. I am so impressed with the superior service and care! I appreciate that they keep overhead low to maintain the best prices in the area! They DO spend money on the latest, most advanced equipment for the various tests that are the hallmark of a thorough eye exam. The doctor was personable and genuine in addition to being the consummate professional. The receptionists were outstanding and ran the office with respectful consideration towards fellow staff to ensure the customers an optimal experience. And optimal it was! On the eyeglass side of the store, I was greeted by James and Carribean who offered their expert opinions on what style looked best for my face shape. They too, were super pleasant and knew their stuff! My new glasses were ready in two days. I was allowed to bring my frames, and they only charged me for the lenses and nothing more. They hit a home run at the first fitting. There's a reason that they have been established in the same office space all of these years. Long before Yelp, Pal has withstood the test of time because of their fine reputation amongst those of us in the area who have shared our experiences via word of mouth in our community over the years. Excellence in care and old-school charm reign supreme at Pal Optical.
I've been coming here for years. The staff are great, and I've never had any issues. I love that they do most of their own work, which helps keep prices low. Vision insurance is so limited in coverage I just skip it, and always get a great deal when I shop here.
