“I have been going to this vet for a couple years now. I genuinely love the people that work here and have had the best experience! I won't deny, there was a time when I first started going that I got hassled for an overweight cat (but realistically, after taking a step back, I understand this is coming from a place of care & I wouldn't want my cat to have irreversible health issues because I wasn't well informed). BUT, I always feel listened to and feel like these people truly care about my pets as much as I do. They can be kind of expensive (most vets are tho) but I feel like it's worth the price because they go the extra mile. For example, I took one of my fur babies the other day for suspicious behavior and they've called me two days in a row to check on her. Love this place and their staff! “The veterinarians who work here are knowledgeable and caring. The communication between veterinarian and pet owner is honest and straight forward. The care is five star. I love learning about caring for my animals and really appreciate the education I receive from the veterinarian every time I visit. Finding a competent veterinarian can be hard, but the vets at Pewee Valley are the best!“

“We've seen multiple doctors for our different cats and they've all been amazing. The techs and reception staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. We were able to be seen even though our appointment was dropped from the schedule. I know that can be frustrating trying to make the extra time, but we never felt like the care was rushed or anything other than stellar.“

“First of all, this business has 2 separate components: emergency services and veterinary specialists. Thankfully my dog has never needed the emergency part but he did recently have knee surgery to repair a torn ligament. I was referred there by our regular vet. Dr. Royals is a very experienced and professional guy, and also friendly and informative. He did an excellent job making it possible for my best friend to walk normally again. Oh, and my dog is not the easiest patient (like he requires sedation for ANY type of in-office vet visit); Metropolitan made it as smooth and safe as they could and showed compassion for him - and me too! We were even able to skip sedation for a couple of the check-up appts which was such a relief. It's obvious that they have a highly competent team of veterinary specialists and staff who go the extra mile for our furry ones. Dr. Royals ended up helping my best friend out a 2nd time, performing an unrelated procedure (outside of his usual area). It saved us from having to make another expensive vet visit requiring sedation, and lessened the number of days my dog would have to be in pain. I am very thankful for this practice! While I hope I never have to visit this place again...at least if I do I'll feel confident in their level of expertise and care.“
