I’ve been to several shops in town and it’s nice to find somewhere I actually want to stay. James is professional and gives a great cut. He’s very detail oriented and won’t let you leave until he’s given his best. This takes some time but it’s always well worth. I highly recommend!
I have recently become a client at Milan in Lawrence, KS. I was really uncertain and on the fence before signing up because of the expense and some of the requirements (no sun exposure) but the communication was strong and they really push you to try if for free. Even though I was exasperated, I am so glad they didn't relent because after 2 sessions I have significant hair reduction and am so excited for more treatments! The technician, Nicole, is just the absolute best and really makes you feel comfortable throughout the entire session. The front staff have been so kind and friendly. The laser itself is not pleasant in some areas but it's not extremely painful either. In someplaces I havent felt it at all! It's mildly uncomfortable for a short period of time in certain areas (not the ones you think!) and Nicole is really attentive to your pain level and helps get you through those "spicy" moments! I would recommend Milan for anyone who wants a lifetime guarantee on being hair free. It's more expensive than other places but I won't ever have to worry about hair growing back and having to pay for more treatment. I gave 4 stars because it was significantly more expensive than what my friends have paid for full body at other places and I never thought I would pay this much but so far I am so happy with my results and experience and I hope by this time next year, after about 10 sessions 5 weeks apart, I won't be shaving anymore!

Keaton and his team recently cleaned our ducts. I was able to get on his schedule within a week of calling him. The pet odor that we once had in the house is no longer present. Had several pairs of jeans with belt loops that had ripped off and Kathy did a solid job of repairing them, avoiding just throwing them away. Probably a super simple job for her considering the greater demand of alterations I saw she had in her shop, but she had the tools and know-how that I didn't. More than a fair price, and will use again!

A great haircut at a fair price! No appointment needed just walk in off the street. There's usually at least two or three barbers working and they're all really good. I recommend Rex or Tim, but the rest of them are just as good.

Salwa did my nails while in Lawrence for a month and a half. Went to another salon as she was on vacation and after three days the gel was peeling. Should have waited! She does a great job. Definitely recommend her!

I was on the hunt for someone that knows how to cut curly hair and came across this salon and found Lexie’s work. I was so nervous to try someone I’ve never been to before but I felt totally relaxed in her chair. She was easy to talk to and so kind! Lexie colored my hair with the most beautiful highlights and cut my hair perfectly. It looks so gorgeous and full of volume and totally gave me a huge boost of confidence! I’ve gotten three tattoos here, all done by Tim. One of the best artists I’ve worked with. Takes time to make sure the stencil is perfect. The art is definitely worth every penny. This is the only shop in Lawrence that I will go to. I also see comments of people complaining about breaks so here’s a reminder: your artist is a human and they deserve breaks too! The atmosphere at the office is clean, friendly, and quiet. I’ll always recommend this place and Tim for anyone wanting a tattoo.

I have had 2 tattoos done by Cara and I cannot praise her enough. My first tattoo was something I had been dreaming of for years so I went to her with a definite plan. After being so please with it, I then gave her a very abstract idea and Cara was able to take that and create a tribute tattoo that I adore. Even though I live out of state now, I will be returning to have more artwork by Cara.
I've now gotten two tattoos at Red5, one from Stanley, and one from T, and have another scheduled this Saturday. First off, I love the pride that the artists take in creating a comfortable and safe environment, and the care shown to their clients. The shop is kept clean and all tools are sterile. Scheduling was easy, and the prices are reasonable.

Recently had a water issue with my house. Thought I had it resolved but found a bedroom closet had water damage. I immediately called Servpro and they responded very quickly like within an hour. Dalton was my technician that examined the situation and explained in detail what he was going to do to resolve my issue. He was awesome! He had to carry a lot of equipment downstairs to the closet area. Got everything setup and running. He stayed in communication with me throughout the entire process which I greatly appreciated. We had 3 pretty grotty area rugs we inherited. Not a fan of throwing stuff out if we don't have to. Hubby cleaned them all and while cleaner, just not bright enough. My bff had her carpet cleaned by Stanley steamer and wow! Her carpet looks great so I figured what the heck, call! Intake man was super friendly and had a sale going: 3 rugs for 129.00. This sure beats the 1,100.00 I was quoted by another company. They came out the next day! Drew and Steve steam cleaned all 3 rugs in under an hour. Both were very professional and respectful of our home. They gave us all the information we needed for care after their departure. LOOK AT THIS! OMGOSH!!!!! This rug turned out gorgeous! It looks freaking brand new! Same with the other 2! The colors are vibrant again! It's CLEAN!!! Just so you're aware, this is a Sears & Roebuck company rug so it's old as all get out and it looks fantastic! So impressed! Dan has been our Post Control Man for years, I could not imagine having anyone else spray and control our pests. He is top notch, always courteous and kind. A couple of weeks ago I called to get an estimate on having a brick walkway installed in my front yard. Within two weeks they were out digging and laying the brick for my walk away. It is absolutely beautiful and Meghan and her crew were awesome. The craftsmanship is absolutely impeccable. Meghan did a great job with the few hiccups that the yard provided. Our neighbor came over and asked if the walkway had always been there as it look like it was original to the house.

They said they’d be at the house at 6:30am and they were there and ready to go at 6:30am. Had a special request from a neighbor for a chunk of wood to carve and they accommodated no questions asked. Did the entire job in 24 hours safely and they cleaned up after themselves.
I recently hired Ryan and the Lawrence Arborists team to take care of some tree trimming and cutting down a large dead tree in my front yard. I couldn't be happier with the results! Great work and they left my yard clean and tidy. Ryan was so helpful and guided me through the process and educated me on how to continue to maintain my trees and their health. Fantastic job and a very fair price. Mike and his crew took down two large trees and other limbs in an afternoon including stump grinding. They left the yard neat and tidy. From initial bid to completed job was bout a week. We are very pleased.

I’m extremely picky when it comes to doctors, as I want to ensure they’re the best of the best and experts in their field, so I can say without a doubt that Dr. VB is a savant. I struggle with TMJ/TMD and lockjaw issues, and Dr. VB and his assistant Nicole have taken complete and total care of me through it all. He possesses a deep knowledge of all things mouth- and jaw-related, so I feel thoroughly taken care of in his hands. Could not recommend him more:)

Dr Carroll was very responsive to my cracked tooth and fixed it easily and painlessly. He knew the history of the tooth and was able to make a good and effective diagnosis and fix. I recommend Dr. Carroll!
I have had nothing but good experiences at Gentle Dentistry. Dr. Hoang is so caring and careful, and I can honestly say that I wish I had been going to her for all of my dental care since moving to Lawrence about 15 years ago.
This was a very good experience. Staff is very positive and informative. The atmosphere is positive and clean. I did the cool sculpting and I am very amazed with results so far. I noticed results the very first day after my session. It was like a week ago and have already lost 7 pounds. It is very important to massage the areas that the red light touched and also very important to drink water and I've also been exercising. It feels as if this gave me empowerment and the desire to be more serious about my health and self esteem. I highly recommend this place. Will definitely go back and recommend this place to as many people as I can.

I first visited Advantage in 2016. I was experiencing horrific sciatica (to the point I couldn’t walk) and a workmate recommended Dr. Brady. In less than two weeks I was walking better than I had in several months. I’d had extensive physical therapy: it helped a little bit, but not nearly as much as I improved seeing Dr. Brady three times a week. Once my condition had improved enough for me to resume my normal activities, the visits became more spread out. I still get adjusted pretty regularly: I can always tell when I need to give them a call (and they’re wonderfully accommodating and flexible!) I’ve been a regular client ever since. I always tell people I feel like I’m 20 years younger after an adjustment. Dr. Brady, Laura and Liz are the best: I can’t recommend them enough! If you have back or hip issues, give Advantage a call. They’ve been the hugest blessing in keeping me mobile, and feeling like a million bucks!

While there is always an expectation that you try, that you give it your best, there's also no judgment when you can't do things like other people in the class. Yoga is supposed to be about you and your mat, and that's what it feels like. Also, I've had several good and talented yoga instructors, but words fail me in trying to explain what Anne Underwood is like as a teacher and mentor. She's quite simply the best. If you are on the fence about yoga, come try this. Seriously.

You will not be getting a cookie-cutter, one size fits all massage. Michelle is able to quickly identify trouble spots, where she then applies her focused, intentional work. She is exceptionally attentive and able to provide the maximum amount of pressure (when indicated) without causing pain. She clearly has an excellent understanding of human anatomy and body mechanics.

I’m a runner and have been experiencing pain in my left leg and glute since early April. It got to the point where it was too difficult to run.
Brian and I spoke by phone before I made my first appointment. I wanted to make sure it was worth my while to drive out to Lawrence for care. What probably impressed me the most was his extensive work with athletes, including the KU basketball team.
He helped me understand how my body alignment was causing sciatic issues. He also communicated a deep understanding of my bone and muscle structure.
