“The best chiropractic office I’ve ever been to!

I have been to 3 different chiropractors in the past (all in different cities, I moved a lot). I have never had one so thorough and patient with me. They take the time to explain the what, why, and how with everything in the first two appointments. They answered all my questions, and I felt super comfortable with their answers.

They do a full exam and breakdown the treatment plan for the first two visits, so the rest of your visits are much faster. So plan for the first two appts to take longer, but it’s definitely worth the time to fully understand how your body is doing and how the team is going to help you get to not only feeling better but staying that way.

Dr. Street is so great, understanding, and helpful! The whole staff is so friendly and very communicative and helpful. (Check out the cute welcome sign picture when I showed up for my first appt!!!)

“I had a full replacement of my left knee in April. I worked with Lexie Turner,DPT, for 3 months. My progress was excellent. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and a good listener. Her commitment to her patients is clear and strong. When something wasn't working out well for me, she would offer a different activity or exercise. She always explained WHY and HOW. Every time I added a new goal, she supported it and added appropriate exercises to help me achieve that goal.

My story is an unusual one. I live in upstate New York. I went to a local orthopedic surgeon in my area, with an excellent reputation. I started PT 4 days after surgery with a group practice in a nearby town. My first 6 weeks went very well, always seeing the same therapist. That therapist left left for a 1-month honeymoon, and I was bounced among the four remaining therapists, never seeing the same one more than twice in a row. I wasn't making much progress. I went to Indianapolis to take care of my daughter who was battling cancer-- radiation, three surgeries in 3 weeks, recovery and chemo. During the time caring for my daughter, I did not want to lose the progress I had made with my own post-surgical recovery. A friend, who had seen Lexie for physical therapy, recommended Athletico and Lexie. Lexie's consistent, expert guidance and skills resulted in a very good outcome: increased mobility with much less pain, increasing strength, and the belief that I can continue to improve once I returned to NY.

Lexie's therapy skills are so impressive that she tipped the scales in a difficult decision: I will have my right knee surgery in Indianapolis and work with Lexie for my post-surgical PT. I juggled many factors in this decision, especially removing my daughter's burden to travel to NY for my post-op care. My experience with Lexie made that decision much easier. I'll be back in April!“

“This was my first time ever going to physical therapy after a shoulder injury, and Megan was absolutely incredible. She made even the sessions where I was in unbearable pain so much better. Megan is not only sweet and personable but also extremely knowledgeable. She explains everything as you do it, so you understand how it’s helping you. After a few months of PT with her, I feel 100% better and have been able to get back to all the activities I couldn’t do before. In my first session, I could barely lift my arm, and now I can fully swing a golf club :) Megan is truly outstanding, and gosh forbid I ever get injured again, I’m going straight back to her. “I was a patient at Indianapolis Rehabilitation Hospital (IRH) for 2 weeks in June 2024, after a 3 week stay at the Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. I arrived at IRH very weak and needed help with everything I did. My experience at IRH was exceptional. On a scale of 1-10 I rate their therapy and all the staff a 10+. I'd rate their food an 8, but I am an excellent cook. I received therapy 3 hours a day, split into 2 sessions. The therapists were all encouraging and for the most part I worked with 2 therapists, one for PT and another for OT - making it easy to work together. They explained the purpose of each exercise and why it was important to do. They gave me print outs of each exercise and routines to follow when I got home. The entire staff of IRH were friendly and always attentive to my needs and wants. The Director of Therapy, Dave, always stopped and to talk and ask how things were going and any suggestions I might have. The new CEO, I don't recall his name, even rolled up his sleeves and helped me get off the toilet one day when he came to visit. I left so much stronger and confident than when I arrived. I used a walker and could walk greater distances and returned home able to do and care totally for myself. I have since graduated to a cane. I would go there again in a heartbeat and recommend IRH to anyone.“
