“Re 5-6-2024 Water Damage in Condo from Unit above; Dishwasher Sprung Major Leak State Farm sent PUROCLEAN of BARTLETT to our condo the following day at 7:30am and they were prompt, professional, extremely courteous, and explained everything they needed to do. They checked daily on the status and updated us of what follows. Julian V. & Dustin were the team members who did the water mitigation work for a whole week and both were a delight. The Reconstruction Manager came by to assess what needed to be painted and repaired. We were the Liability Claimants on above unit owner's Policy and that hang-up with State Farm took until July 11, 2024 before we got our check. All people who own condos should READ their Dec & Bylaws, most importantly, the IL Condo Property Act, if you want to get a claim COVERED where the insurance company can't wiggle out. It works. Awaiting Puroclean to advise of painters' availability now. NOTE: same unit owner water damaged our unit a 2nd time on 6-27-2024 in Laundry Room & Furnace Room, apart from Dishwasher flood and ignored our letter for $787 reimbursement as quoted to fix by Puroclean. Frankly, I'd never advise anyone to buy a condo. A townhouse is better, but a single-family is best if your roommate or "other half" is "handy". Looks like we will be stuck paying for this out of pocket.“
