“Im in a mobility devuce...a scooter...and the halleats and doorways were way too nsrrow. I had great difficulty maneuverung around and getting into exam rooms. The layout is very handicap unfriendly and there are no power doors. The ekevator eas also a bit difficult because the shape of the elevator had the long side perpendicular to the entry, so i had to turn into it unstead if just pulling firward. Many disabled folk have diffuculty twisting making backing up a blind maneuver. If i could pull in straight and back up straught, that would be much easier that having to back up while turning.“

My mom had hip surgery and Wishing Well Home Care was one of the local home care companies recommended in my mom's discharge packet. Peggy was very patient and a wealth of information during our initial meeting. She really knows her stuff! “We have one caregiver from Home Instead/ Honor. Her name is Sharon Ly'burtus. She is amazing. My father connected with her right away. She is thoughtful and caring. She cares for my dad from 8 pm to 8 am four nights a week. She provides toileting help, dressing and undressing, and all mobility and transfer help she does it with grace and care of the details. What we like most is how much she engages with dad. Dad is 93 with advanced Parkinson's, and some heart issues. They talk about the past, sing songs together. Dad texted me this morning and said " I am up, dressed scrubbed and shaved. What a nice job Sharon does." I highly recommend her. We love her!“

“As my father aged his main goal was to remain in his home as long as possible. In order to help satisfy his request we knew it was time for 24/7 in-home help. We reached out to Touching Hearts and met with John. John assured us that they would be partners in the process and that he would find the best possible match for us. I found that to be spot-on If the match did not fit or we had other concerns he would find a suitable replacement. Over the course of 2 years we did request a few changes. John provided an immediate response and a new caregiver was provided. In the time we worked with Touching Hearts we were never left uncovered if one of the caregivers was ill or had a conflict. Communication was quick and the replacement provided. We reached a point where staying in the home was no longer possible but the transition provided by Touching Hearts provided us with the opportunity keep our dad in his house a few more years.
