A side note is the cardinal nest with 3 eggs that survived right outside our basement window, because Thiel put extra shielding over the bush the nest was in.

Jim Klingbeil, the owner, identified where the potential problem might be. The existing flashing was removed and part of the siding, and then it was determined that an ice and water shield be installed per village code and window sealant wrap to resolve this leakage problem.
