Pet Groomers near Oak Park

“Lovely people, excellent service, less expensive than other hoity-toi groomers in Oak Park. I've been going there with my dog Poco for over eight years and have had nothing but a good experience. Be forewarned--they are rightly POPULAR now, so don't think you can get in for a grooming by trying to schedule a week in advance. I typically book the next two upcoming appointments rather than just one so that I'm absolutely sure that the near future, at least, is covered! What's more, after Poco's grooming at Bubbles and Brushes for Paws this past June, I asked them if they'd take a photo--and it's one of my favorite photos EVER of the two of us. So I include it here.“

“We sent our dog Rocky to Western Wag for a little over two years, before moving out of the city. Our dog loved going there and would get excited at dropoff! “I had the most chaotic day picking up my sister’s sweet dog from O’Hare after he’d shipped home on an international flight. He was totally traumatized and totally needed a bath before we headed home, and I’m so glad this was nearby! I don’t have a dog myself, and have never had to bathe a dog on my own, so it was clear I wasn’t super experienced with the process. I believe it was the owner who came over and helped me through every step of the dog wash process. He helped sweet Finn boy feel safe and walked me through getting him as clean as can be! The team even has motivational Monday (a little treat,which she loved!) “I’m pretty thorough with where I take my dog and nearly every daycare in the area gave me some kind of red flag - either through recent reviews or visiting and just not feeling very comfortable leaving Jax for an extended period.<br><br>Dog. has been a very positive experience so far. I walk over a mile to get there each time and it’s always worth it for the security I feel when he’s there. It’s clean, professionally run, and the dog daycare cameras they offer are reassuring. Jax always leaves tired and the front desk folks are always friendly. Ever since my initial email reach out, they have been very thorough in answering my countless questions without making me feel annoying - which I appreciate.<br><br>My dog is my best friend and I don’t want to ever worry about where I leave him. “House of Paws is amazing. My rescue pup has severe separation anxiety so he needs to go to daycare a few days a week when I need to be in the office. “Higgins has been taking care of my dog since I moved to Chicago about 10 years ago. One thing that is consistent about Higgins is the care is consistent. I know what to expect at his yearly check ins, things to be cognizant of as my guy gets a bit older. One of the things I appreciate most though is if I have an urgent question or concern, the staff will happily talk to me over the phone and advise if I should bring my dog in or treat with home remedy. My only "negative" is the cost of care tends to be a bit steep but at the same time, I know my dog is being well taken care of. I'd recommend the Higgins animal clinic team.“
