“I have had the pleasure of working with John Gallagher, owner, of Exterior Designers, Inc. (EDI) several time over the past twenty years. I first met John as a young new homeowner. We needed a roof and also were in the market to replace the outdated aluminum siding. I always begin a job with at least three estimates, and we were working within a budget. EDI was not the least expensive but was the only company whose owner (John) came out and explained what was needed and what was not. While the other estimates were eager to make the most of our service call, John suggested getting a layer placed over the original roof at a less expensive cost to us. He also advised it would probably last about seven to ten years. Additionally, while other contractors tried selling us high end siding (cedar), John explained that while cedar would look nice, it comes with a lot of maintenance and in reality, the neighborhood tended towards vinyl. Again, he could have talked us into a more expensive choice, especially since my taste and budget is not always in sync, however, he did not. He steered us towards the more economical choice. Our layover roof lasted 19 years without even one leak! That's great craftmanship. And my siding looks as new as it did when we first had it applied. This summer when I decided to replace the roof in its entirety, I called upon John to do the job. Again, he came out and explained all the options. He does not attempt to sell the best product as many contractors do. Rather, he listened to what I wanted and steered me towards a mid-range quality roof with the architectural shingles I desired, while working within my budget. “I first contacted them last year for roofing repair and they were really quick, reasonable quote and made the whole process easier. While they were repairing my roof Patrick came to check up on their progress and noticed the back of my house roofing is different then my front and gave me a quote to fix that. I agreed to the quote but said I couldn't do anything till the summer of 2022. Patrick said no problem the quote will be good till then. Fast forward to May and he got in contact with me to see if I was still interested.Now here is why I highly recommend them. They were so patient with me while I dealt with my HOA approval that instead of May it took till July for them to do my roof, AND the quote never expired. Melissa was their contact person and she was such a joy to work with. She returned my phone calls and emails in a timely fashion. Patrick would answer my text when I had questions. “Berg roofing did a fantastic job on our roof from service to product quality! After a hail storm in the end of Feb, we needed a new roof and our realtor gave us this recommendation! Communicating with Nick made the process so easy and seamless. He always ensured to get back to us in a timely manner and follow up with us when there was availability in the schedule. He also worked with our timing, as we were delayed in signing the contract until our insurance could do their inspection of our roof. Nick provided us with plenty of color options and was upfront with cost options too. “Long post but please read. Back in November 2023 I needed to get a roof put on, so I had the roof put on by Joseph James roofing. Fast forward to March of this year 2024 my roof was leaking. I thought OK it’s just a fluke, It was a terrible rainstorm, but then another rainstorm happened and more water came in. I contacted the sales person and they sent someone out looked at the roof and said it was all OK. The sales person was very dismissive. Another rainstorm came and more water came in this time in two places. The sales guy (he is no longer with the company great decision Joseph James) said my roof was fine, obviously, it wasn’t fine because if your roof is fine, why do you have water coming in in two different places? I paid for a home inspector to come out inspect my roof to see what the problem was. He gave me a very detailed report. I was now ready for a fight, had a lawyer on stand by after all I have interior damage and the possibility of mold. I sent an email attaching the home inspectors report the next day after I sent the email a gentleman named Joe came out to my house early in the morning. Joe was so professional so polite and kind. He went above and beyond, he wanted to make this situation right. Because of Joe, my faith was restored in this roofing company. My situation is not complete yet, but I am waiting for the next rain storm and if I get more water, I’ve been assured that Joe will take care of it and make it perfect. I believe him,<br>you will too when you see his work ethic.<br>Joseph James enterprises keep Joe in your company HE alone restored my faith in your company.<br>Thank you Joe.“
