“My family and I had been looking for a large size funeral home. After looking at a few we came across Szykowny funeral homes. As soon as we walked in we felt such peace. This place is beautiful and calm. The director, Jonathan is just the most sweetest, most helpful, patient and understanding man. I know it’s his job but he really took the time to go through everything with us and made sure to make our arrangements perfect. We definitely felt more than just his clients and through these difficult times he made everything so smooth and easy.
I would say the only negatives were on the actual night of the wake he was not there but had a friend be there. She didn’t seem to know what she was doing. The mic didn’t work and she didn’t know how to fix it. Also, she started cleaning like an hour and a half before our end time. I have a large Hispanic family and they brought lots of food so I guess I can understand why she started thinking we wouldn’t end on time. But I told her my family would clean. She did apologize and stop but it irritated me at the moment. And the last annoying thing was ordering the death certificate afterwards. Erika made a mistake and ordered the wrong one so we had to wait another week.
I would definitely say that the pros outweighed the cons. Highly recommend this place.“

“My family and I are so happy we held my dad’s services at Sourek Manor Funeral Home last week. Maggie was amazing! She was always available and walked us through the entire process. From the moment we inquire about services to the burial, they were so helpful! I cannot thank them enough for how they prepared my father for the visitation. Up until that morning, we thought we would do a closed casket. But as soon as we saw my dad, we decided to do an open casket. He looked the same way he did before he got sick.
