“I've been going here, twice a week, for a year. This is the longest I've stayed with any fitness plan. At 65, I'm the strongest I have been in my life. And my wife thinks I look pretty good, so there's that, as well. The workouts are fast (less than 25 minutes) but leave you feeling like you've just had one of the most challenging workout. “Tucked away in the rear of a Highland Park industrial building, you will find a hidden gem of a gym. V3 has something for everyone, from personal training to small group classes. We are three months in, and my wife and I are both addicted to "Barbell Bootcamp." Barbell Bootcamp is a workout of the day style class. perfected by V3's owner, Gregg Piper. Each day's workout is unique, and focuses on a different muscle group. Classes are offered at convenient times throughout the weekday (6am, noon, 6pm) and weekend (9am or 10am). The beauty of the small class format is the individual attention each participant receives from the trainer, critical for anyone working through limitations. The results speak for themselves. Our bodies are stronger and more defined than ever. But V3 also changed how we see food. Gregg set us up with personalized daily macronutrient goals. He didn't just put us on a diet, but rather set us on course to eat holistically for the rest of our lives. Together with consistent workouts, I lost 15 lbs and 4% body fat over six weeks. “I recently tried out the BURNBarre class here. It was my first group exercise experience and I absolutely LOVED it! Booking the class through the MindBody app was very easy. When I first arrived Sarah greeted me right away and helped me settle in. She gave me a quick tour and showed me where all the equipment was, and also gave me a rundown as to what the class format would look like. The space was clean, organized and inviting. Renee taught the class, and she had great energy! Modifications for exercises were welcomed and encouraged which I was so grateful for! I am basically starting from scratch and was nervous that I would not be able to keep up. Overall, I had a great experience and cannot wait for my next class. Great local spot!“

“A couple years ago I sprained my ankle and sometimes it bothers me when I go for a run. A friend recommended me to the place he had been, Fit For Life Clinic, to find out what I should do to take care of the problem. My experience there was excellent. My therapist evaluated my stride and muscle imbalances and asked a lot about my activities and exercise routine. My ankle problem is now better and I know what I should do so that it doesn't come back to haunt me again. Every appointment, I was in a private room with my therapist with lots of equipment that we used. I had undivided attention from her every time I went in. I didn't have a prescription to use my insurance for this so I was put into what they call their wellness program. It was cheaper than having to pay my deductible with my insurance. A win-win.“
“I’ve signed up for nutrition coaching and online membership program with focused results a few months ago and I’ve never felt better mentally and physically. Zak is an awesome nutrition coach. The program involves daily contents that relate to your nutrition goals and each day I look forward to reading about nutrition and how I can prep healthier meals that fit my daily routine. Zak is such an inspiration and motivation. When I’m doing his online workouts it’s as if he’s right next to me pushing me to dig deeper ? the workouts are awesome! Zak is also quick to respond to any questions. The program makes you want to make healthier daily choices no matter where you are.I’ve also signed up for online video on demand and have been doing daily yoga/meditation. Dani is an amazing yoga instructor! If you have trouble sleeping or trouble living in the present moment, I highly recommend doing daily yoga and meditation. There are days when I’m overdoing things because as you know in our society we are constantly doing something. However, I’ve never considered the importance of pausing (for at least 5 minutes) to bring yourself back to the present moment. This has been so helpful because after pausing to meditate I feel as if I can take on so much more with a peaceful mind. Dani’s online yoga classes are designed for every level. You don’t have to be a pro yogi to keep up. Every morning I listen to morning meditation and it helps me get through my daily tasks. At night before going to bed, I listen to evening meditations and I kid you not, I’ve been sleeping like a baby.
