2723 Pfingsten Rd, Glenview“Philip,
Heaven only knows what manner of arcane magic you worked - or, more frighteningly, from whom you learned it - but thanks to the adjustment you made for me this morning, I can finally wear my glasses without them painfully digging into my left earlobe for the first time in months. It was excruciating, constantly disrupted me while at work, and a relief warranting tears.
After some further Googling, I'm a little more optimistic about being able to financially sustain toric lenses once I achieve a certain pay grade and fiscal milestones. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly intend on acquiring those Flexon 623's in tortoiseshell in the rather near future - a return to my optical roots which would hopefully permit permanent recuperation of my ears.
Sincerely,
Ben“

My annual eye exam was completed in a timely manner as I believe I was the first appointment for the day and the front desk ladies were helpful & patient with me when I was picking out my new frames for my new set of glasses. Glad I decided to check this place out!“

811 Church St, Evanston“My impression of BIG City Optical, at first, was not very good. I bought a new pair of glasses which came with the protective coating on the lenses. However, every time I cleaned my glasses, they would smear. It didn't matter if I used the cleaning cloth and spray I was given, they would always smear. I was back and forth with my issue over several weeks trying to find a solution with BIG City. I was told several times by the associates there was not much they could do other than to send the glasses back to the lab and replace the lenses. Well that wasn't exactly an idea because I'd only get the same kind of lenses.
Things didn't start to come together until I accidentally stepped on my glasses, leaving deep gouges in the lenses. When I came into the store I was met by Miguel, a very gregarious and knowledgeable person. However, I was very skeptical. He explained why my lenses were always getting smeared: partly due to the oils from my face, accidentally touching the lenses and the protective coating on the lenses. I never knew that, but it made sense. Most eye glass places will sell you on getting the protective coating on your lenses, which I think is not an extra cost, but don't quote me on that. I personally have never seen the advantages of protective coating on lenses, but would get it because the sales person would convince me of the importance of having it.
Anyway, I decided not to include the protective coating for the new lenses and was glad that was an option I could choose. Because I was still under warranty the new lenses didn't cost me anything. Miguel was beyond professional, he even went the extra mile by personally picking up my glasses and delivering them to me. The services from him was impressive and informative. He turned my doubts into a very positive outcome. I have no issues with smearing or grease marks on the new lenses.
For the first time in awhile, I felt like I was actually being listened to. I would highly recommend this particular store and the services of Miguel and the rest of the staff!“

2812 W Touhy Ave, Chicago“I had a new stronger RX from my Optimologist so of course. I looked at only two name-brand stores Lenscrafter and Pearl Vision. the others America's best, vision works, four eyes. We're giving two fair price of one. It wasn't interested in those. I needed Progressive or transitional. lenses were something special. I found out that. The only two brand stores I was interested in buying glasses from had merged and there were both the same companies. both had merged into an Italian lense conglomerate I also learned that almost all of them send their lenses to the same few labs some of the labs were overseas so that's why it takes two or three weeks before you get your glasses back Now I just did not know Where to go with my new prescription A neighbor said he got glasses on Touhy & California thought I'd try it. The very important measuring it determines if you're going to see out of your glasses well or not, so these people how to measure they were using all kinds of strange instruments measuring all kinds of ways for more than an hour It was the best measurement I. ever had. another happy surprise was when I got my new glasses back in just a few days another If that wasn't enough. my bill was very reasonable In comparison with. PearlVision and Lenscrafter's well somebody's got to pay for all that advertising. I've been wearing my new Prescription. glasses with. progressive lenses. for a couple of days and I can see much sharper with them so when I need glasses again, I'm going to go there again. I'm glad my neighbor told me about this place“
