Glenbrook Hospital part of the NorthShore Health System and NorthWesternOne of the finest health organizations I have ever used. Great Doctors, nurses everyone is great.I love this place, and oh there keeping me alive!

I have been going to Glenbrook Family Care since 2007...so I consider myself an established patient...since it is a resident clinic, the residents change every 2-3 years, but the attending docs don't. Up until 2014, it was great I had great residents that had helped me greatly. Recently, the residents are now restricted to the opinions of the attendings and I have been treated as if I just came off the street on several occasions and am highly unsatisfied with the service. I suffer with chronic pain and was treated with opiate medication that I have been told now is not appropriate. Again, i have been a patient since 2007 and have been on pain meds since 2011. I am really frustrated because up until now it was appropriate for me to have them and now I am not. I have been told to see this type of doctor and that type of doctor which I already have and I feel like they are trying to push me off on another provider or they hope that I just go away.

My entire family has been getting serviced by the Glenbrook Family Care Center since August 2012, and they have been great. Our doctor is a 2nd year resident there and he is so kind and caring. If this was just a review of my doctor, it would say 5 stars. We've been treated for depression, severe physical pain brought on by stress, and ear infections, and now I'm receiving prenatal care there. They have a walk-in clinic for emergencies, emergency appointment slots, and they take Medicaid patients and have excellent financial aid programs. The downside is that I hate having to call my doctor, because it always feels like the nurses who initially take the calls are trying to find an excuse to not pass my message along. I get that a doctor's time is limited, but I feel like his gatekeepers are working a little too hard at keeping patients away. The office staff screwed up the scheduling on my first OB appointment, and though I filed a complaint, and I know it was passed along, the office manager never called me as promised. I've also submitted paperwork for proxy access to DH's account twice now, and it's never been done. Minor complaints, but it takes this review from 5 stars to 4. Wait times are sometimes long, and sometimes right on time. I think the quality physicians are well worth the wait when you do have to wait.
