Love this place. I'm born n raised in Chicago and No other barber and beauty shop like it in Chicago. Best in chicago. Hooks up my kids and my braids. Monica and Abdul both respectively take care of business. ????
Monica and Abdul are both talented human beings who are great at their craft and there'sno wonder we keep them busy.I have been trusting Monica with my eyebrows and hair for over 5 years.I am especially thankful that she has been able to find the shape of my eyebrows and keep them clean and thick, the way I could not.I would also like to add that I began going to Monica at first for eyebrows upon my own friends recommendations. But now I am a loyal customer for both eyebrows and hair.
It is tough for me being an old school union barbershop kind of guy to get over my implicit bias against "new" barbershops that are also hair stylists' salons but... a coworker recommended that my son try a cool younger guy at a multinational shop that does his hair. Well, his hair is always remarkable for its neat appearance while still being different and cool so I considered it and my son was on board after I sent a picture of my coworker's mugshot over. My Sicilian barber is MY barber and will be until he dies or retires, Razor's Edge in Gladstone Park, but my son wants stuff that wasn't taught at barber college and most old Italians... read full review
