Rebuilding exchange is a very great place to be at to grow. I took their pre-apprenticeship program and it was amazing! You learn a lot of things and meet great patient people and you're guided in the right path. What really helps is you take visits to different locals to help narrow down your career path and the stipends! In my experience of being in a pre-apprenticeship program with these guys it was by far a great hands on learning experience and it changed my life for the better. I am currently a tuck pointer local 21 and I can't say thank you enough to this company because they helped me get my life on track and now I absolutely love what I do!

This is a unique resource in the city. In addition to having lots of salvaged doors, sinks, lumber, lights, tiles, stone countertops, tubs, cabinets and appliances at accessible prices, they also offer workshops at an affordable price. It’s well organized, too.

Took a "How to use Power Tools" class here! It was worth the drive from the suburbs, Learned how to use a miter saw, band saw, jig saw, nail gun. Now I can build all those trendy walls from TikTok! I also took the "How to build a Picture Frame" class. Instructor was grad student from UIC. It was a great class, taught by an artist! PS, I still have all my fingers :)
