I went with Marian for the floors because he was a lot more economical that what my general contractor was quoting and he came highly regarded from my realtor. Marian is super friendly and was very accommodating to my schedule especially given the delays with Covid. When it came to installing hardwood in the bedrooms and sanding and staining the floors, I'm really pleased with how they turned out. Marian provided two basic stain samples, but if you wanted something different expect to go and do the mixing yourself and tell him exactly what you want. However, part of my job also included replacing my baseboards which did not turn out quite as great. I think there might have been confusion in my expectations and my walls aren't completely straight, but I wasn't prepared for the number of imperfections. However, know that if you get your baseboards done ask questions and expect there to be extra work after installation. Overall, I would recommend if you are just doing flooring and Marian is super easy to work with and cares about your satisfaction. He made it right when I expressed frustrations. Just be sure to ask a lot of questions if you are a novice at getting your floors done.
