I’ve taken private lessons with Annette for the last 2 years but I have practiced Pilates for the last 14 years. I have had multiple abdominal surgeries and bilateral hip replacement. My recovery has been swift because of the strength and discipline from the practice of Pilates. I continue to do Pilates because it had given me pain relief from arthritis of the back and neck. Pilates has corrected my posture, improved my balance and increase my strength/stamina. Best investment in myself, especially as I age.

I have been taking private sessions at the Pilates Center of Chicago for six years. I had hurt my back and decided to stop all my exercise, because I kept having small injuries and pain. I have had many kinds of physical instruction over the years, but pilates and, more importantly, the instructors at PC of C changed my whole body and understanding of how to develop deep and balanced strength. Rachel has been my instructor since before the pandemic and was able to work with me on Zoom doing mat classes at home. Now, I am back in their beautiful new studio on the reformer! Pilates here is wonderful in and of itself, but it is really the key to making it so you can do other sports with less chance of injury. I can walk better, ride horses better…anything because my overall body strength is actually more balanced.
