Dr Havey and his nurses are the very best. He has been my Dr for the past 22-23 years. I can't express he and his nurses fabulous care enough. Since I live too far away now, I have to say I've cried many times because of having to find another dr close to me. I can let all others know he is the best internist you could ask for.
Usually scheduled with a resident but everyone is exceptionally friendly and an attending has to check in with you. Joy was my nurse and she is truly a Joy. She brighten my miserable day! I always have a great experience here. Not everywhere at northwestern but here has always been amazing
On February 28, 2018, I was experiencing pains that indicated either a UTI or a kidney stone in addition to a severe, acute pain in my left trocanter area. First Nurse Phyl took my blood pressure et al, then asked for my symptoms, which I described, mentioning the pain in my kidney and bladder areas. Plus, the pain in my hip. She typed away. Then Temitope Orenuga, MD Resident came in and asked the same questions, to which I answered the same. She typed away. Then Dr. Eric Schaefer popped in, and the two of them decided I was experiencing bursitis of the trocanter and prescribed Meloxicam, totally ignoring my kidney and bladder symptoms.
