Gave birth at Prentice a couple of weeks ago and was so impressed with the staff. Sure the hospital is a little dated and some of the furniture could use a little tlc, but the level of care I received exceeded my expectations. It was a great balance of advice and recommendation with allowing my own autonomy, and when I had a medical emergency I have never seen such swift response. Special shout outs to a few on the team although it is a bit of a blur so I'm sure I'm missing some too: - Alex (nurse) in L&D who kept me super comfy throughout the night and also helped me move into different positions regularly as I wanted. - Claire (nurse) in L&D who looked... read full review

All the hospital staff is very friendly and informative and helped me and my girlfriend the entire process. Staying here overnight and only reason I cannot give 5 stars is whoever is the night shift for the 2nd floor security needs an attitude adjustment given you are just sitting there on your phone doing nothing, made it seem like I was of an inconvenience that I didn't know the elevators lock and you had to walk 5 feet from your chair to let me up. Other than that everything and everyone else have been nothing but polite and helpful except for that security. They were the August 20th Sunday 10:30pm shift. Fix your attitude.

Prentice is where I delivered my long-awaited first child. I wouldn't have considered delivering elsewhere since all my healthcare needs are met by Northwestern, but my co-worker said that she decided to deliver here when they lived in Mount Prospect (or... Morton Grove?), so that was a nice endorsement since they bypassed several other hospitals in order to deliver here.Anyway, Prentice is a great hospital to deliver at. My baby moved into a breech position, so I had a planned c-section.
