My amazing makeup and hair artist, Mercedes, is not only incredibly talented, but was also so pleasant to hang and work with. We did one makeup trial together, and two hair trials. Then on the day of my wedding we did my hair and makeup, and my mom and sister’s makeup. Everyone was very happy with their look. As a cherry on top - all the communication from Blush and Braids was spot-on and proactive.“

salon! The environment is very calming and elegant. The staff is super kind! I have curly hair and it can be challenging to find someone that knows curls. I was happy that I found Tania, she was so knowledgeable with curls and gave me a ton of tips on how to care for them. She also gave me some goodies to help my hair get healthy! My haircut turned out so good, she specializes in doing curly cuts. I would highly recommended Tania to all the curly ladies.“

I started out with a phone call consultation with Samantha, and by just describing my hair, she already had multiple ideas of what would look good and sent me inspo pictures almost immediately. At the hair trial, Samantha made me feel comfortable, heard, and let me try out a couple different looks. On the day-of, we decided to switch the look up a little bit, and it was truly perfect! I’ve literally never gotten so many compliments about my hair in my entire life. Jackie did the hair for my wedding party, mom, and officiant, and everyone loved their looks! Samantha and Jackie made everyone feel calm, cool, and comfortable in both their work and personal conversations, especially on a day that can feel stressful and overwhelming. Maria did an awesome job, it lasted well past any other manicure I’ve ever gotten.I wish I lived in Chicago, I would go more often. On my next visit to town I will make another appointment.
